Overseas aid farce.

Overseas aid, now how many of you feel all warm and fuzzy knowing that some of the cash borrowed in your name is going to teach Pakistani’s how to do their banking via mobile phone!, WHAT THE!!??, were all being told “you can’t have this or that due to spending cuts” while this kind of stupidity is going on, from what I have seen on Police stop you git and Border wars all the Asian asylum seekers etc all have mobiles and know what to do with them better than most of us. (there were two in my GP's surgery the other week, they had 4 aid/social workers with them to help them get free care and all they did was constantly come in and go utside to talk on their phones the whole time they were there while the 4 stouges did all the hard slog, I must say I had to bite my lip on this one.
Sorry I digress, even Bin Laden’s lot know how to make them into a remote bomb trigger (now that's thinking outsied the box for you) nope I think the £11 billion we blow on “others” should be used here for OUR old and sick HERE, we should only give money away if we can afford to otherwise we shouldn't, charity begins at home and not in the bloody Hindu Cush!.

mell well said i never can understand how you can give money you do not have to others any one in the real world knows this is plain daft if we were suplying food and feeding it to the starving then i can understand giving it but to give money most of which does not reach those in need is plain daft charity does begin at home and when they have stopped wasteing money on wars and such like and look after there own then it time for us to help till then tough luck who helps our poor those who have nothing and can claim nothing you have to be drug addict or iligal to get anything here if you work hard all your life tough val

If aid went on medication and vital water/food/education/housing/sanitation on the worlds poorest I would have no qualms. That would be Money well spent. But so much is wasted.

The cuts have been directed at the most vulnerable in society and that makes me so angry.

Well said me dear, without infrastructure saving lives from disaters will only have the effect of making the numbers at risk higher for the next time, population control and better infrastructure are the key but telling a third world country the truth is a crime, even the Chinese get flack for population control yet it's a really good idea.
