Oh Val, sometimes there is no choice but to do things ourselves. If you are anything like me you won't ask people to help in a direct way but hope they see the pain and discomfort you are in and offer.
Now you have set your neck off and, as well as mowing twice(bet it looks lovely) carrying it home can't have helped.
aybe you need to be more direct with those men in your life but I know old habits die hard.
Take care and have a rest now.Hope all goes well at the rheummy appointment,

I know it's little consolation but I've done the same this weekend, Val
Loads of washing, ironing, making beds and hoovering underneath them. Then I took the girls for a bike ride this afternoon. Well, I say "bike ride" - they rode their bikes and I tried to keep up with them, wearing completely unsuitable sandals which didn't support my feet and now my heels are aching!
But I've learned to let others rake over - hubby is on dinner duty - I rang him at work to tell him

Well to be honest, I do something silly every day, just cant help myself. Trouble is it is not easy to change ourselves, to be able to ask for more help. I'm already in bed resting would you believe it, and I still wont learn.

I hope payback isn't too bad tomorrow. I hope you atleast manage a good nights sleep for all your efforts.

Didn't do it today but..
The other day i was getting changed to get in the bath..
Holding on to the sink for support i took my trousers off and through them straight down the toilet.. and guess what either my OH or son had been toilet previously and not flushed the chain..
Was not the loveliest of things i wanted to be doing before relaxing in the bath lol..xxTracyxx

traluvie my aim not as good as yours men  (ok tony not all of u) never stop to think i hope you gave them what 4 valval0 -
Mr DD don't flush sometimes either: I don't think this is necessarily a major fault of the man part of mankind, don't some urinals flush through automatically or summat? It is irritating tho - we have to think about flushing, they don't, because sometimes the flush fairy does it for them. Bless. Multi-tasking - it's a woman's world. DDHave you got the despatches? No matter how many times i moan at them about flushing the toilet they don't listen..
Suppose it easier to pop it out wee, pop it back in and walk away.. all in one motion lol..
If the lid was down like it should have been, my trousers wouldn't have ended up there in te first place lol...xxTracyxx

Oh valval, that made me laugh! How big was the dog - are we talking Great Dane?
Credit where credit is due, Mr DD does change the toilet roll for a new one when needed. DD

Wow! What a mixture of hounds, was he tall and skinny-ish with a long coat, or more bulky with a short coat?
No wonder he could lap from the lav! Our bathroom is ground floor too, useful during the day, damned painful at night. DD

Hi Val, I think I have gone mad!! Yesterday afteroon I was just putting some washing away when it went from that to clearing out my OH's boxer short draw and folded them all (they had been thrown in any old how!) and put them away tidy. And got all the towels and sheets from the airing cupboard and folded all the sheets nicely and quilt covers and made them into sets ready to be put on beds!! And I asked hubby to put everything from the top shelf of the airing cupboard in the guest bedroom so I can sort and make up sets. I think I have started nesting as the Physic's call it! I wouldn't mind but I can't have children and haven't got a maternal crumbling bone in my body!!
As for loo thoughts, I make OH put loo seat down after one morning finding bubba (cat) back legs in the air with tail pointing up drinking out the loo! It was something you had to see for yourself everytime I think about I chuckle! So now we have a rule in the house flush and put seat down! other wise you will find bubba drinking out the loo!0 -
hi bubba we had cat years ago and yes he used to do that as well even though he had nice clean water changed 3 times aday he would much rather use the toilet never used to let him lick me after he started that lol.
the mood does hit you on a good day just have to go with the flow but it not over doing things that difficult do you want to come do mine pleaseval0
