Home is a far better and far nicer place than hospital and I am sure she will immediately feel the benefit of being home. My fingers are crossed.     Joan I have my fingers crossed that you are allowed home today. There is no better place to recover than in your own home.

    Hello Everyone.
    Joan is disappointed. because she was told she might be able to come home today. now she has been told she cant because shes not walking well enough on her own.
    She didn't sleep very good last night because the bed wasn't very comfortable.
    I am sorry this post is full of moans.

    Hi Sue

    I am sorry that Joan is not coming home today and understand that she will be disappointed. None of wish to stay in hospital longer than necessary but if Joan needs more help from the physio with her walking, then she is in the right place. I know that they do not rush patients out if the physios do not think that the patient is ready. Only when all the boxes have been ticked by the various medical staff involved does a patient return home.

    I do hope she will get home soon,

    These things do happen, everyone is so different, and I think its better to be in there care till you are ready.
    Please dont think the thread was a moan, we are happy that you are posting and letting us know how Joan is.

    Hi Sue. Send her our best, tell her we know how good it is to get home but some things can't be rushed. It would be worse to get home and then figure out that she wasn't ready for it..

    Tell her me & Ra are up for visiting duties if she likes :grin:

    Heaven's above Sue, that wasn't a moany post at all, far from it. You both must be so disappointed but it is probably for the best, yes? The last thing she needs is another fall, which, let's face it, could easily happen if her walking is not that confident. It will be much much better for her to come home when the walking has improved and I am sure that will be soon. Please send her my regards if you talk to her/see her. DD

    They will let her out as soon as they think she is ready,they do like to empty beds ASAP!

    sue tell her we need to know if it two times around the round about then third right or 4 times arouns and third left we always end up going around and around the round abouts.
    she must be feeling so down it awfull being stuck in when you want to get home to your own bed giver hugs from all of us tell her we missing her and have put some of tonys birthday cake in freezer in cafe for her take care val

    I hope that Joan is soon on the mend and coming home. Sorry to hear things didnt happen as you expected for today and I can fully understand your disappointment.
