I'm so sorry you are in pain Turbogran ((((((((())))))))

I hope the dr can give you something to lessen the swelling and so ease the pain & stiffness too. I have been going through this at the moment due to having a THR so can feel your pain but the stronger meds are starting to ease it now. So hopefully you can say the same too soon.

    Good Luck.

Good luck turbo, make a list of the things you want to discuss with him - it is so easy for one's mind to go blank as soon as you walk into the consulting room. I hope he can do summat to help and do let us know how you get on. DD

    Hi All
Thanks for all your replies and hugs they mean so much.
Dippylegs I am wondering if the meds are the problem as I have been on co-dydramol for pain and naproxen anti-inflam tabs for over 2 years now without the need to change them as they have been working ok. am now thinking maybe they need reassesing. Have already made a list DD as I know I will forget something if I don't. Barbara I think what is worrying me the most is being told things are getting worse. I am a very independent person, and the thought of things getting so bad that I feel I am a burden to others because i am unable to do thing for myself fills me with horror. (silly I know but that's me i'm afraid). However having said all that feel at bit better having put it all down on here knowing that you all understand.

    Hi Turbogran

As you have been taking Naproxen for about 2 years, has the doc. checked your kidneys? My doc has put me on Naproxen but told me that he will have to keep an eye on my kidneys because this drug can damage them! I hope that everything goes well during your appointment and let us all know when you get home. Take care.

    Maria.

    Hi Carol

All the best for you and one thing....

fear of the future is always worse than facing up to the reality.

Maybe you just need a nice new meds regime eh?

    Good luck

    Love

Good luck for tomorrow, Turbogran. Hope all you need is a little tweaking - the meds that is!

    Hi Carol,

I shall be thinking of you tomorrow. It could well be a simple case as has been said as a change to stonger meds. Once you on meds for a long period of time your body does get used to them.

Sending you big hugs for tomorrow. Let us know how you get on wont you.
