Well, I hope she will. As we all know she has gone down with a nasty cough but the prevailing medical opinion is that the operation (new knee, I think) can go ahead, so legs? I wish you the very best, make sure you have packed all the knitted bedpans we have made for you, I will be thinking of you tomorrow and imagining you 'dancing' to the music whilst the surgeon wrestles with his Black and Decker! Good luck, I hope it all goes well and I look forward to an update from a PA or two (or even you) as soon as possible. DD

    Hi Linda

I had a new knee just over four weeks ago and you very kindly gave me some advice at that time, as I was scared about the op.
I hope I can repay the favour a little bit now by telling you that I stayed awake for the op, had my mp3 player on full blast and it was absolutely fine. I definitely felt the hammering as they put the new knee in, but it wasn't a horrible feeling and didn't seem to last long.
Apparently I sang my way through it and gave them all a giggle!
    Very best wishes,

    Jo x.

Thank you so much for that Jo. Although I'm positive about the op I am a tad scared but then we all are when we have to face these things. Your reassurance really helps.

    Were you sedated?

Hope the knee is mending well.

    Hi Linda,

All the best for tomorrow, glad you have your mp3 for it, I didn't, and it was a bit noisey.

Sending you big hugs and looking forward to hearing from you as to how it all went.

Phew I got a fright when I saw the title to the thread- I thought they'd taken you in early! Never heard that before but always a first time.

Wonder what stuff you have on the mp3 player? I can't stand up for falling down was suggested to me. If I had a hammer? another good one.

Soon be over and back to your fit, lovely self.

    Hi Karen and Elizabeth,

Must admit my MP3 player has really cheesy music on it like Pet Shop Boys, Il Divo, Alison Moyet, Gilbert O'Sullivan  Jake Thackerey   Magna Carter and people you youngsters will never have heard of

    ..nothing witty

    Hi Legs,

You long ago when I was a human being of the normal persuasion, I had to do a weeks hospital theaters towards the training. They put us in the ortho theaters mostly though a day in Matty also had to be done) cus they thought we would like to see what we had started they continued and actually mended.

I did more theaters when I went for the I and I and you know what i can promise you is your might be having a block but you also have a sedative and the noises and stuff well they didn't seem to aware of so remember that.

You screened as well though if it were me I would like to see cus well I kinda sick and find what they can do fascinating.

They will take good care of you and since I going to be lurking in the shadows what tracks have we got cus if your short I got some decent ones on mine.....

As if the shadow thing wasn't a big enough threat.........:lol:

Legs I know also that both Iris and Wonky will want you to have their love and good lucks as well. Not sure if either can be here to say it them selves cus as you know they are having a bit of an arthritis kicking though both are getting there.

(((((((((( )))))))))) and love Cris who has left you tankers and buckets in other places but forgot to leave the biggest bucket of good lucks possible. xx

Oh and a bag of corn for your pigeon cus she going to have a lot of flying to let us know how you doing xx
