Hi all well I've just been to me GP's and I've been signed off for another month as my knees especially my right is still in major attack mode I worried it's never going to calm down it's been active for 5 weeks now.
Anyway on me sick form he put knee pain as normal but this time he also added what looks like the words titrating analgesia, you know what GP's are like they got to the school of bad hand writing while doing their medical degree but that's what me and the wife thinks it says, that said I wondered if any of you have ever come across this term?.
I have Googled it and the only thing I think it means is I am trying to adjust my pain meds while off sick.
Any ideas?.

Never heard of it, sorry mell. Analgesia means absence or relief of pain, but as to what the first word might be . . . . . I haven't a clue. Treating for analgesia? Could he have meant that? DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Mel
If only they would write in English....I think it might mean you are still adjusting to the meds, so your GP will see how you get on with them.Love

Ey up Rkid, firstly, I'm bloody glad he's signed you off again, I know that you're not right with them pins, being at work would definitely make things worse.
Secondly... The scribble... Who knows... I once had a letter from the doc that looked like it said nice ar5e, still to this day have no idea what she'd written.. Maybe it was
As the others have said, it must pertain to the pain relief side of things.
Be well matey. I'll be in touch soon.

Hi mell
just looked up titrating this is what I found To determine the concentration of a solution so presime that means trying to find the right dose of pain relief as analgesia is pain relief as others had said.
take careStay positive always👍xx0 -

Hi all thanks for the replies, after doing searches on Google and Bing I agree it makes senses, he wants me to up the dose of Gabapentin I can handle 3-4 now but they have odd side effects, also they do stop some of the pre flare very nasty crushing pain but instead transmutes it to a deeper numbness and general tingling feeling in the lower legs,ya win some and you lose some I guess?!.
I also now know that some of the pain I atributed to neuropathic pain is infact from the OA after all, J***s this is bloody complex all I want is my life back not a lot to ask is it?.0
