Entanercept pens instead of injections

There seems to be a bit of a mix up with my entanercept and the hospital has put pens instead of pre filled syringes.

They are trying to change it as I have never used pens but just wanted to ask if anyone here has used the pens and are they more difficult or easier.

Thanks

I have only used a humira pen (fortnightly injections, a 40mg whack of stuff). I have never had a problem with them but I prefer the meth injection as I can control the rate of input. When I was on enbrel I faffed about with little bottles, shaking the mixture, waiting for it to clear, drawing it into the syringe, ye gods what a performance! I never had the luxury of a pre-filled syringe. I wish you well. DD

How ironic is this? I just tried to do my meth (pre-filled syringe) and the stuff just would not go in. I got about half the dose, then the plunger would not move! I changed the needle, tried again, same problem. Even the basic technology sometimes fails! (Perhaps I am the basic technology. )
