I'm really sorry to hear that 1. You're not well and 2. Your op has been postponed. This happened to me (minor op) and it's horrible so I kinda know how you must be feeling. Hope you get over this infection soon and you get another date quickly.

Oh, dear Linda, I am devastated for you. Isn't that just s*ds law. You tried everything, even the gp said you would be ok for the op. Please, pretty please, I hope you get another date very soon, so no need to unpack your bag. I would have been beside myself with upset. All that build up for the op, getting there and being told they could not proceed.

Dose yourself up now and get better soon. I expect, very, very deep down you know that it was not probably the best idea to go forward with the op. A decision was made by the medics and they know best. They would appreciate without a doubt that you would be upset but they have to think what is best for you, my lovely.

Sending you over gentle hugs, I feel so down for you, because I think to myself, that could have been me.

Oh Legs, I can only begin to imagine how you feel. I'm always paranoid about getting a cold before an op but you'd done all the right things and it really looked like it was going to be OK, didn't it?

Of course it's better not to take any risks but what a bummer! Not to worry. We'll put the Knee Revision Soc. on hold & get in some doubles for when it finally goes through.

Just wanted to say i really sorry your op was canelled, I hope your chest is better soon and your op will be done quickly. I know it feels like a blow when you've got all psyched up for surgery and made practicle plans too, but it is best if your in the best of health before such a big op so try and feel lucky they want to do the best for you (not easy I know)

l am so so so so very sorry...you must be devastated, but you are poorly and l would have hated them to risk the life of our lovely legs.

(things like this can turn to pnuemonia :shock:)

Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much for your posts which I've read more than once. I'm getting over the infection now and feeling less tired.

Thank you to Lynn for doing this for me and taking her pigeon duties seriously. The message sack is now hanging in the loft ready for when it's next needed.

I've put up another thread to tell you all what happened on the day.
