Well the winner was Jilly b's suggestion - Marisota. I managed to buy one pair of jeans that fit like a glove and another 2 pairs that fit me fine plus a nice new khaki long length top to cover the thighs. Had to buy size 16-I knew Next were being generous with their sizing.
Thank you for all your suggestions and so pleased to have some decent clothes to wear for a change as my joggers are losing the will to live.I had to sew one pair up whilst wearing them before I collected my little girl from school as I had my shoes on and laced before OH went out(can't do it myself)so couldn't remove them to repair!
Happy bunny... .

Hello Elizabeth
Well done on getting the new jeans. I do own any blue/black jeans at the moment and do not want to buy any because I am trying to lose some weight. Started on 1st June, bought from a Q shopping channel which had it on offer over 24 hours, it is diet and the meals are cooked by a chef who has worked in a Michelin restaurant. Small portions, used to piling the food on my plate so I am bound to get into my old size 12 jeans soon. Doctor said it will be better for my knees, ankles etc. but it is tough. Met a woman at the bus stop the other day. She is a size 8 and has had arthur for over 20 years. She told me that she has never been over weight. Anyway, I am going off onto another subject, feeling tired and need to lie down. Floaty tops are great. I wear them to hide all my lumps and bumps. Have a great day.
Maria.

That is good news tkachev, I am pleased for you. I was looking at that site just yesterday and I've fallen in love with a long denim skirt. Dream on, Daisy.Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

The clothes are fashionable on there DD, treat yourself. The jeans that fit like a glove are called magi-fit jeans so I will buy some more later on.
Just that we are going to Cheltenham on Fri so really wanted some clothes without holes in and baggy knees.
Maria, good luck. I was once a size 8, even with R.A , but the pounds have piled on in the last few years. I can't see how I ever managed to be that weight to be honest. I think a diet is my next planning issue.

Dear Elizabeth,
I am sooooooo pleased for you. It is difficult to get jeans that fit like a glove for us girls, it does not always matter what size you are. It is just one of those things. Good idea to buy a few at the same time.
Great to hear that you are a happy bunny today.

So pleased to hear I was of help , Elizabeth , I love the marisota sight ; in fact most of my clothes come from there ! Now that you've found them , the hard part is to stop buying , or is that just me ? ! Jillyb0

Thanks Elna!
I have just had the seal of approval from Lucy! She, without any prompting, noticed new clothes and said the jeans made my legs look slimmer!
Result.

Hi there,
I am very very pleased that you found some jeans Elizabeth. And I think I will have to have a look on this site because I certainly needs new clothes. Haven't treated myself in a long time.......
Do you just put in marisota, is that all??
Karen xx
ps, when I was a lot longer I was a size 8, skinny thing I was, now I've gone completely the other way.Karen xx0 -
I would love to treat myself but it's a toss-up between a RADAR key and special BB protector that locks onto the steering wheel (thus hopefully making those of a criminal persuasion less likely to smash my window for it) or the skirt. I think the key etc should win this month, they are much more useful! Next month perhaps . . . . . it's lovely to hear you sounding so chirpy tkachev - new clothes that actually fit are always a fillip for one's emotions and I am pleased for you! DD
PS Yes, Karen that should be enough to bring up their site.Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -

A compliment from Lucy is just the best, isn't it? I really am so happy for you and you most certainly do deserve to feel like you are on cloud 9.

Hi Karen I was between 7 and 8 stone until 40, then it all piled on until I hit 11 stone for my THR operation and have added another stone since. If I made an effort I could lose some but would need to exercise to tone up. It is that nausea with the MTX that did it for me! I had to bury the horror with food.
when I first went into Marisota site I clicked on trousers and only a small selection came up so I then went into the individual collections. I only found the magi jeans later on when something caught my eye. They would have been very easy to miss!
DD the BB badge sounds important. You will have to put up a link for that. I've not yet had a problem luckily.

Elizabeth, I am really pleased you have found some jeans that fit perfect.
I don't own any jeans cause I can never find any that look nice on me,
I will have to look at your marisota site.
I am glad you had a feel good day.
Take care

Fantastic, Elizabeth, glad you got some jeans and a top - I expect to see a picture on FB very soon!
I think being overweight puts more presure on the joints but I have been diagnosed with RA for about 2.5 years now and never been overweight? I don't think being overweight is a cause of arthur.
Nxx0 -
No I don't either as I was very slim when mine started and had been for years. But I have been told to lose weight due to the strain on the joints and also as I have a torn stomach muscle and acid reflux issues.
Well I had some posh chocolates yesterday I hope the jeans still fit me.
