Hey all.....
Just a wee update for the people who commented on my last post regarding my swollen finger & increase in symptoms......
Saw my GP today & she gave me a prescription for the 100mg one-a-day Diclofenacs & also Omeprazole. Tummy felt a little strange after taking them but so far nothing has expelled itself from either top or bottom orifices!
Also spoke to my rheumatologist & have an appointment to see him on Monday to get a steroid jab & most likely to increase my sulfazine to 6 a day. I'm off on hols next Thursday so need a spot of temporary relief.
Thanks for all the advice you lot gave me last time, helped loads.
Hope you're all as well as can be.

p.s. my GP told me Arthrotec isn't as good as having drug & stomach protector separately.

Good to hear from you Keith - I was wondering how you got on.
Glad you now have the Omep - and I didn't know you could get 100mg Diclo - so I've learned something there .
I am pleased that you have a rheumatology appt next week and really hope that the steriod jab gives you some relief while the extra sulf gets going.
Well done for sorting that lot!

Hi Keith..
Good to see you finally getting somewhere..
I am on 50mg diclofenac 3 x daily, i have to take lansaprazole with them as they really upset my stomach.. hopefully you be ok.. if not mention to gp..
Glad to hear you seeing rheumy and having steroid jab, alot of people recieve benefits from it, even if minimal, still it's something..
Lets hope you can have a great holiday and enjoy..xxTracyxx0 -
Glad you've got things sorted, Keith. And just in time for your holiday too. Enjoy it. I hope it's as pain-free as possible. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Keith, I am glad you got your pain meds sort ed and that you are getting a steriod jab.
I find mine work for a few weeks so hopefully it will work for your holiday.
You may already be aware of this so feel free to tell me to shut up, but i found out after the first few jabs that you are supposed to rest for about 24 hours after you have your jab to get the best out of it..
Hope you have a lovely holiday

I hope the steroids help and that you have a lovely holiday. Try to forget it all for a while - difficult I know when one is popping pills but pop them, then forget. Take care. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

morning Keith, just thought I'd see how you were going on with the meds.
Hopefully 'things' haven't erm, bubbled up, or down.. I'm sure that your stomach protector will be doing it's job. I'm on lanzoprazole, works pretty good.
Hope you get your injections monday & they help. Where you going on your hols then?Me-Tony

Thanks for all the well wishes people, warms my little heart!
Strangely enough I feel great this morning & the swelling has started to subside. I was taking 75mg of Diclo twice a day & that had little effect but just one 100mg dose yesterday & I'm feeling the benefits today. I can't work out why but I ain't complaining!!
The stomach protector has made my digestion feel a little 'weird', can't really describe how.....but my motions are as regular & normal as ever!
We're off to Dartmoor & then Cornwall Tony, 7 days of relaxation. Hopefully the sun will start to shine again by the time we get there & the steroid jab I'm getting on Monday will keep things at bay so I can actually enjoy it!

Been to Exmoor, not Dartmoor, never been to Cornwall either.. Heard nothing but nice about both though.
Hope that the injection works wonders and the sun shines the whole seven days there

Oh Keith,
It is absolutely beautiful down there. I stayed in an old farmhouse there. The scenery, everthing about it was beautiful. The three of you will have a fantastic time.
