Hi, I am new to this forum and am so glad to have found it.
Its great to at last be able to relate with others and know i'm not alone with my arthritis.
Reading a few other people's problems make mine seem not as bad.
I have had arthritis for over 15 years in my right knee, had three arthroscopies, the last five years ago. Since then have been diagnosed with cervical spondilosis, arthritis in my feet and now both my knees are starting to ache. I had two toes fused two years ago and an ankle arthroscopy last year. My next op is sceduled for the twentieth of june and that is for my an impringement in my left shoulder, which causes me a lot of pain from my shoulder to my fingers. I am not looking forward to it as its my dominant hand and worried about how I'm going to manage.
I take amitriptyline (10 mg ) at night and co codomal when I get to bad.
Just typing this message is hurting my shoulder.
Does any one else have any experience of this op ?

I have OA in hips, lower spine, ankle, neck and kyphoscoliosis.

So i've an appt to see the ortho who did my first hip in a bout 10 days and see what he says about the 2nd one.
No doubt someone will be along that will be able to help you

Hi Lillyflowr,
Glad you have found the forum cus they area good lot here.
I have a lot of arthritis i the shoulders but haven't had them operated on, instead the pain clinic fill them up with botox and mine are also hampered and effected by the spondy in the neck.
A friend of mine has had her shoulder done following an rta and she says its fine and seems to be happy with the results so that might help till someone comes along.
I can't remember who it was but someone has had this one fairly recently so if you use the search box at the top of the site it might come up?
Really hope it will go well for you and please let us know how you get one when your able. Nice to meet you. Cris x0 -
Hi Lilyflower
I'm Liesa, I've only joined a few days ago but am so happy i have, these people are so lovely and warm, you sound really positive, hope your op goes well, my Dr suspected i had 'impringement' in my left shoulder but the Xrays didnt show it, and luckily the pain did go off, not perfect but its ok, to be honest i didnt expect it to show anything this is how its been over 25 years for me, have had MRI scans for my knee, idnt show anything Dr did arthroscopy and found the knee to be bone on bone,
anyways welcome xxlove and hugs0 -

Hello Lilyflower,
Welcome to the forum, nice to meet you. Cris has a good idea there you can use the search button to back track to other posts to see if there is any useful information in any of the previous threads.
Hopefully some will see your post later today and be able to give you the benefit of their experience.
Good luck with your op on the 20th. I hope you have someone to help you while you recover.
