Blue Badge Protector

I went onto the RADAR site the other day, to investigate the key etc and found, in their shop, a product endorsed by the Metropolitan Police. It is a BB protector, you can buy them as a single or a double and it provides a holder for the badge (or the badge and clock) which you can padlock to your steering wheel. This should minimise the risk of having your window smashed and your badge pinched. When finances allow I shall be investing on one of those: although Suffolk has a low crime rate I am fearful that my badge could be an item of interest to miscreants and I take the view that anything to deter anyone from pinching anything can only be a good thing. I have a link for the key, so I shall post that, but from that you should be able to find details of the holder. Right - here comes some blue stuff, I hope!

I hope this is OK with the mods, if not please let me know and I shall delete the post. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

    Morning dd

Thank you for the link, I have just looked and I may also purchase the protector.....there are a couple of books that are of interest too.

You will find the key very useful. I have two. One in my bag and a spare in OH car, just incase I don't take my bag.

    Hope you are well today
    Take care

Pricey , but cheaper than a new windscreen ! Might consider one at a later date . Would urge everyone to get a radar key , had mine for years and it makes life so much easier . Jillyb

Where I live they don't need to pinch 'em. My badge is renewed routinely through the post. I've tried repeatedly to get the council to insist that the old out-of-date badges are returned before the new ones are issued but nothing ever happens. There's probably a currency in them.
