Just read the following:
Nature really is a miracle: thousands of years ago we couldn't possibly imagine anyone wearing glasses, yet our ears are on exactly the right level!!!
Also, just to share... please tell me that I'm not the only parent who never has any money? I actually bought a bigger purse the other day to hold the cash I have to take out all the time now (I used to be like royalty and never have cash) but it just means I give more money out!
So far this week, I've spent £5 on Monday's ballet lessons, £3.40 at swimming, £1.50 on a cello lesson and given £7 for a school trip! It's mad! This is after making them packed lunches so I don't have to fork out for dinner money each week!
Nina
PS - Glad it's the weekend!

Hi Nina
I hadn't thought about the ears/glasses thing before, but you are right- evolution is a wonderful thing. It would have been very inconvenient if our ears were on our feet, wouldn't it
On the subject of money, I hate to tell you but it will only get worse as the children get older. Wait until you've got three teenagers to finance  You'd better win the lottery to pay for everything then. Anyway, I think the money is well-spent on the ballet/swimming/cello lessons as your girls are such a talented trio.
Have a good weekend :!:

Hi Nina

Talk about ears and evolution did you see the free divers on human planet, their eyes have changed over the years so they can see under water better than us!, how strange is that, sort of blows the "intelligent design" lots views out of the water, or should that be unintelligent design??. Anyway it's a US thing they think the world was all made 10,000 years ago and nothing evolves it's all done by God, you know their right in a way, their minds haven’t!0

So wot you sayin' Rehab? There is a God or there isn't??
And to everyone else, thanks for making me feel worse That was NOT how to sympathise and make me feel better! Joan, I am glad they are so talented and want to do these things but surely my 9 year old could have picked a smaller instrument?? I pay more as they get older? No, I don't think so... I'm going to start hiring them out for parties, get a return on my musical lessons investment
£21.50 spent on trip to cinema to see Kung Fu Panda 2 (which I actually wanted to see myself)... £10 on a MacDonalds for supper because I didn't want to cook when I got home. Tea was free though - my brother's BBQ

Since beginning of April I have blown hundreds on ice creams, entry fees, train fairs, guide books, petrol, sandwiches, cups of tea and cake(usually a couple of quid a slice), cokes at £1 a tin, cokes at £3 a glass!
They are all back to school tomorrow so more trips out until July now!
And my oldest daughter need help as going back to Uni(but stilll has enough to dye her hair...grrrrr!)

Free day today, apart from swimming this morning  I'm off to my friend's house for the afternoon. No park or day out cos its raining out there.
Elizabeth, I dread the day when they go to uni - we'll probably end up remortgaging the house

Talking of ears/glasses, I think I must be some new genetic mutation. For years and years I thought I had wonky glasses. Turns out my ears aren’t level.0
