Been quite stiff recently and noticed that I am suffering a lot from pins & needles in my hands and occasionally feet, the hands are quite bad whilst trying to sleep and often wake me up.
I just wondered if anyone else has had this symptom when their joints aren't as flexible
Thanks everyone

Hi Justin,
I used to get pins and needles and 'tingling' in my fingers and feet. Now, unfortunately I get numbness and pain in the same places. I can't sleep on my left side cos it makes it worse. I think it's down to my oa in neck. It's a really horrible feeling and I hate it affecting my sleep.

Hi Justin,
I think this quite a common problem and I also had bad pins and needles in my hands at night. It has eased off since having medication for RA, in my case I am sure it was caused by inflammation in my wrists. My toes had a burning sensation in them too.
I did have an injection into my wrist which thankfully worked for me.
I hope you get some relief soon.

Thanks everyone for the replies, My neck was playing up bad so went and bought some new pillows and since this has helped and the pins and needles are not as bad.
It is very worrying and I suppse it makes sense when we have flare ups it can put pressure on nerves and things.
As if we dont get punnished enough with the pain
Hope everyone is ok - Thanks again.0 -
Hi Justin,
I was only diagnosed yesterday but have been suffering with pins and needles down my left leg and foot for a few months. The consultant advised me that my nerves are being "tickled" by the bone and disc distortions. They couldn't do anything but I always found a warm bath helped.
Sorry I can't be more help

Hi Justin,
I went to the drs and explained about everything, numbness, pins and needles and my throat narrowing-same things as you. I'm being referred to ENT for them to look at a lump in my neck but also the throat problem. Also being referred to an ortho consultant for my neck to see 'what's going on' there. I'll let you know what happens.
Hope you are well these days and the pins and needles have gone,
