As some of you have probably noticed, I've not been my usual prolific posting psychopath self lately...

I wish they would just give me something to stop the bloody hands hurting so much. It's doing my head in..... I miss posting like a loon.. I've so much to say too
Can't really use the pc for more than a couple of minutes as I've to prop myself up for a start & the keyboard is painful to use pretty much instantly......
So, I've mainly been using this touchscreen phone.. It does have it's own problems though, means I can't do my DJ'ing thread, and I really miss that but the links don't work from this for some reason. And I've to hold the phone towards me so the elbows or should I say eblows hurt like Hell, left hand starts to hurt from holding the phone etc etc... Moan, bitch, blah, blah, you get the jist
I'm having a moaning evening, lol...

Going to log out, watch some stuff... Might be back in a bit.. Just dint want you thinking I wasn't enjoying posting anymore, lol...

Catch you all in a bit, hope you're all ok.
Might have missed a couple of birthdays too, so Happy Birthday to those who have had them... Lol

How about voice recognition software? Could it cope with 'furry purry pillow' I wonder? Seriously, it could be an option, Tony. DD

Hey valval, great minds think alike! We've just proved it!

Tony, I think we all know how much pain your having at the moment. And you can rant and moan as much as you like. It makes a change, your always the first one there for everyone else. We will be patient and hope that you will be in less pain, but until that time you take it nice and easy.

Wish I could help, but you know we dont mind you having a rant, if it helps just a little, then its worth listening to.
I hope the hands ease up very soon.
PS watch a scary movie it might help take your mind of things
    You take care of yourself.

Hiya Tony, sorry you've been in pain, I had been wondering actually because not only have you not posted as much, you haven't texted much either :( Sort of got used to your mad ranting on this site and on my phone too!!

Anyway - voice recognition software - DRAGON is the best by far. It recognises words, will open up programmes for you on command, fully integrate into your computer. You just load the CD that comes with it and it does the rest itself. It comes with either headphones or a mic, it's up to you which one you choose.

I have it at home and it's brilliant for when I want to do a lot of typing as my hands often feel like sausages. Dragon will learn from your voice too (yes, even your broad Yorkshire drawl!), the more you use it and correct the mistakes, the more it will "learn" for next time. I actually had to stop my girls from messing about with it as they were confusing it :D

Hope you feel better soon. Feel free to moan all you like, we'll always be here

    Hi Tony,

Sorry to see you struggling again. I also have heard good things about the dragon programme, it might be worth a try. I hope things ease off for you soon.

You're a reet bunch o' carin arthurites, bless ya... Lol

I will look into the software if the rheumys can't help eh? Hows that?
Can't afford a bigger tetley tea bill than the one we already have

Thanks for all your lovely messages..
So.... It's a drawl I have is it :?:  :???:  EKKI THUMP!

    LOL

At the minute I'm managing to just about rest the phone on my bolster so I don't have to keep a hold of it while I type, still get a lot of pain in my right elbow as it's bent for me to type, can't have the phone too far away af I can't see it, lol..... I know I could enlarge the screen but then things would take even longer..

Right, consider my moaning over with, as long as you all know why I'm not posting as much, that's the main thing... Will try ring the rheumy tomorrow.. Someone kick me up the bum to make sure I do, I not only have a tenancy to forget things I have a tenancy to put things off as long as I can... Lol

Right... Let me have a wonder round, give some support etc, plus a bit of stupidity somewhere no doubt...

    Hi Tony

Just to say that I think you are doing very well to post on here considering the difficulties you are having with the pain in your elbows and hands. You are entitled to have a bit of a moan about it from time to time, and no-one minds at all. The voice recognition software sounds like the solution from what Nina says.

BTW, I'm not aware of your Yorkshire 'drawl' which was mentioned, but maybe that's because I've still got a bit of it too

Thanks Julie, Karen. Been trying to get through this morning, just rings & rings then cuts off, the lady who gave me the number said there should be an answer machine (I know a lot of the rheumy nurses work this way from what I've read on here) but it just cuts off after so long. Will keep trying this afternoon though.

Ended up ringing the actual rhemuy dept back as the number for my nurse they had given me was just ringing off the hook.. Apparently she'd given me the wrong number
So this morning I managed to leave a message for the nurse, now I will just wait till she gets back to me...

Will let you know if/when she does and what she says..
