Hiya
Ive been trying to lose weight and started off at 110kilograms and am now at 103kilograms so have nearly lost a stone so far....Still got a bit to go till i get to 95 kilograms for my tkr but am on the right direction!
Bought pair of dumbells, they weigh 10lb in total and couldnt get parked right near shopping centre so parked only a small distance away and regretted it right away...Struggled like hell!! But now have them and do 10mins each day...Be like popeye soon!!

That is really good going Elaine, hope you are proud of yourself. I had to lose weight before my THR, which I did, but now as your going down, I am going up. It's the lack of proper excercise afterwards. At least we know that after the recovery the weight gained can be lost again.
Again really good going, when is your operation booked in for?

Elaine, that's brilliant, losing nearly a stone - WELL DONE YOU! You should treat yourself, set yourself mini goals and rewards along the way to reaching your target, to keep motivated.
Can I risk looking stoopid and ask what a THR is??

Hi Nina
THR - Total Hip Replacement
TKN - Total Knee Replacement

Hi Karen
Well I will most likely be the same and am happy its going quite well! My operation is not booked yet, i have to get down to 95kilograms then ask to see my consultant again and the ball will get rolling and nerves a jangling...

I think you are doing brilliantly. You are half way to the target loss weight and I know you will continue after that. If you are not feeling hungry then keep on.

Hi Elizabeth
Well never thought of it that way but yes its halfway...Of course i do get hungry and could eat more but my body doesnt need it, i eat a good sensisble diet with plenty of veg and fruit......I have recently gone a few days having no bread, bought some cereal from aldi that is the same as Special K and that is quite nice in the morning followed by a cup of tea...
