I have figured out a few things I need to do before Sonisphere Fest. Should have done these for Rockness but I didnt lol.

- ALWAYS pack a first aid kit
- Have bandages/tube grip
- Never camp on your own, always be in a group
- Make sure the festival or event you are camping at knows about HMS (I didn't and was greeted with a horrid medic)
- Ask for help if you need it, many people don't mind helping
- Buy a pop up tent, 100 times easier than a normal tent.
- DON'T mix with the crowds, who knows what can happen.
- Always stay with who you are there with
- Ask a member of the group to be your "No 2" so to speak

Cause I didnt get that all done before Rockness I had to come home early :(
I ♥ Runrig.

Jesus are you going to a festival or the Bronx me dear!?. I wouldn’t worry to much about losing friends etc the crowd should be fine I’ve never come across anyone having trouble at a festival, we use to pick a set time if we were splitting up and pick out a easy to see meeting place, these day’s you have your mobile so keep it tight in your pocket on vibrate I would.
Have you got insect repellent?, remember the stuff is nasty to plastic and rubber.
Pop up tent is good but what about wet weather gear cag in a bag and a small pop up brolly is also good if it’s really sunny. Oh what about ear plugs for trying to sleep, camp sites are noisy places. Would be nice if you could take a flag and a pole to mark your tent, we use to do that makes it so much easier to find home later on
Oh yes and forget sun screen and loo role and some wet wipes!. Rock on!!.

Never camp alone...I couldn't get to lie down or back up again without someone else to help me.
A pop up tent is essential and so is a blow up mattress, a mobile and a torch.
Did you find the camping too much Pamie and is that why you came home? I was camping on Friday night and it isn't a nice experience with bad hips and needing the loo!

I love camping, these days I usually let thee others put the tent up, lol.. I'm a great supervisor though.
We have a double height, queen sized airbed, so much easier for getting up and down from.. Sheets of polythene that go on top of the airbed under a fleece blanket then we have our sleeping bags. I still enjoy it, sure it ain't the comfort of home but if you wrap up well with layers etc.. You can still have a great time. We are going again in July.. A big group of us, half of Janets family by the sound of things, lol...

Not been to any festivals though.. I really really couldn't do the basic camping, would be very painful for me.

Have fun wee lassie, good to see you back..

I will never ever understand camping, it's never appealed to me. My parents didn't emigrate from India so we could sleep outdoors and poop in open fields - we could go back to India for that (although almost everyone has loos now).

My daughter has to go on a school camping trip in July and she's mortified LOL We don't like to go anywhere where we can't plug in hair straighteners.

And all this organising?? I'd rather go to a hotel :D Glad you all enjoy it though.

Bet Tony doesn't see this. I want to ask if you have trouble moving about, rolling over on the queen size, blow up mattress. OH saw one in C*stc* and I just wondered if i'd be rolling all over the place with no control. Do you find it difficult to get off the thing in the morning?
