Hello All,

There is an article in the science and medical section of Ask The Experts that reports on recent reserch from Nottingham Trent University about how they are working on a new technology using optical illusion to reduce the pain from arthritis.

Click on this http://www.asktheexperts.org.uk/optical-illusion-promises-to-aid-arthritis-pain.html for the article. Hope we find it useful.

I wonder how they would treat toes and ankles and knees and sacro iliac joints (especially as you can't see them) wrists, elbows, shoulders, necks and hips? I read about this a few weeks ago in the press, I note it's for osteo and that is a good thing but I reckon there is a way to go yet before this becomes a commonplace treatment. It is interesting tho, the brain does influence us far more than we realise, as this experiment shows. DD
