    Hi Seamonkey

Have read all the comments and i think you have right to let this get to you..Its what gives us the fire in our bellies to challenge these so called professional people who just see what they want see. Youd think they woould have a great sense of sensitivity wouldnt you but it seems not and your doctors report seems not to be in the same elite class as those those who sit there and judge.
Now re weight...Im what you called obese, i always will be all my life my bmi is 37 and I am dieting for my TKR second opinion appointment but well i started at 17 stone and will end up hopefully at 14.5stones...still obese, very obese....But ive also made changes to my diet, i refuse things, stick to what i need to eat not whatever else i want to eat...Now even if youre housebound and in pain it dont mean you have to overeat and i say this cos i know ive done it in the past...So other do too.....A few little changes can work wonders and if i can do it, others can too...Do not let them grind you down, fight seamonkey, lose some pounds too make them see youre making the effort too and stick your doctors report right under their noses if you go to tribunal...Sometimes if you make a noise and get angry it can work....

    Hi Seamonkey

I know there are times when we dont have the strength to keep battling on but please dont give up. Just like any other career, some doctors are just not good at their job. Is there any chance that you could change to a different GP, if so do this as finding the right GP can make a world of difference. When you go for a DLA assessment, the doctor has never seen you before and knows nothing of your pain and difficulties, this angers me as a half hour examination doesnt tell them everything about your illness. I know so many genuine people who have been turned down for DLA and have kept fighting and in the end have been awarded full benefits. As for the driving, why is there the Motability Scheme if disabled people are not meant to drive ?? I wouldnt get out at all if I didnt have a car and appreciate that I am so lucky to get full mobility so that I can afford to keep the car on the road. Please try to stay strong on focus on a positive outcome. I wish you all the best and hope things start to get better for you.
