Now worried!

Hi,

As you know, I went to drs on 14th June. He referred me to ENT to get lump on neck checked out. I came home today to find a letter from Head and Neck specialist for an appt. on 29th June. I can't go as I'm on holiday for a week. Now I'm worried that within 2 days, dr has managed to get me an appt.

please do not worry our docs set up appointment straight away so it not because they think it that important it just the way it done now contact them and tell them you are away they might have a cancelation you can have to put your mind at rest val

I understand why you may a bit worried but i have had appointments come through very quick a few times and not necessarily because it was urgent.. I know it is easier said than done , but please try not too worry..
As Val suggested i would ring and rearrange your appointment explaining the situation..They should sort it out for you..

Hiya,

I tried the number but was told to phone back as the system was down. I called back and she went through all my info then said 'Oh, we don't deal with those kind of appointments' and gave me a direct number to try. Of course, the number rang out so can't try again till tomorrow. I'm going to ask if it was an urgent referral. I'll be happier when I know-I'm hoping it's because the appt. I got was a cancellation.

Hi hun, try not to worry too much, yeah, I know, it's a silly thing to say but true. It's probably just because a cancellation came up.
Let us know what happens if you get through.

Hi Tony,

I'm a worrier, can't help it. We're going to Centreparcs at Whinfell. Kids love it, me too but it's knackering. I've also promised my daughter I'll get a bicycle-now that will be a laugh

Hello,

I managed to get through to receptionist today. She's sending me out a new appointment. I asked if it was an urgent referral and that it worried me. She laughed and said everyone has been phoning and asking that!!! She was actually very nice but she could have maybe worded the letter a bit better ie. due to a cancellation we can offer you a quick appointment. She's got cancellations she has to fill so panic over!!
