*rant alert*
And just when I thought it was all getting ok, and my knees were behaving themselves, the left one only has to go and give way SIDEWAYS in a very painful manner.
And so, here I sit, knee swelling nicely, pain radiating all the way around the knee and calf, trying to pretend it doesn’t hurt Except it does. A lot. And I want to cry but I won’t give in! I shall carry on going, pushing through like we all do, and ignore it as far as possible....
Sorry. Just had to rant a bit!

I hope you have it elevated, that should help things to settle down again. I found a while ago that I have to concentrate on every movement, if I let my guard drop then trouble can so easily result. Take some dullers, rest it and ice it if necessary and I hope it eases soon. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Thanks DD. I was just feeling a bit sorry for myself I think! Its as elevated as it can be at the moment, and I have the dullers to hand, aah my little friends :-)
Hope you are as well as can be today x0 -
Quite right , why shouldn't you feel sorry for yourself now and then ? It always seems as if the minute you feel , " yes , I'm coping ok " ; that's when arthur comes around and slaps you so he's not forgotten ! The beauty of this wonderful forum is that we all go through the same and all understand . Jillyb0

Poor you - after having a pretty good time of it recently with my osteo firmly under a regime of strict pain control, I blithly wandered down my Mum's garden to smell her blooming roses... when I blooming well ended up upside down on the lawn with my ankle the size of a football, after falling over fresh air...
And I sat and I cried and I howled at the Sun !!!!!!!!! :evil
The man at the hospital was very nice, he gently sat me down and told that my ankle wasn't broken (this time), but he had noticed a "tiny bit of arthritic change..." He couldn't understand why I laughed!! Or why I had my own crutches
So if you want to cry, indulge yourself - we don't do it very often

Thank you all for your lovely replies. It is still there, aching and swelling and swelling and aching, but my anger has surpassed at least! And, at least, it is the weekend. I had planned on celebrating a friend’s birthday with a night out dancing when now, dear readers, I shall be laid up on the sofa scoffing chocolate and watching so-bad-they’re-good movies. Looks like it’ll be the weather for that, anyway...!
