Hi folks.
Some of you know that I've been waiting to heart back from my rheumy nurse, I left a message on tuesday asks again yesterday. These past coupe of weeks my hands, wrists & elbows have been very painful, hence the minimal posting, lol.. So I knew I could do with going back. I only went in March but was still waiting to hear about my next appointment. As it is really impacting on my using the crutches etc I thought it best to chase it up. Anyway....
I've got an appointment for Monday morning.. Excellent..
Not sure what they'll do but if they want to try some injections into the joint bring em on.. Will try owt at the minute..
So, pocket duties for Monday morning anyone??

DD, you keep the fizz, I'll deal with the strawberries, good for me.. Lol
I really don't need booze.. Way too stupid as it is.
Val... By all means you can take a great big needle full of obscene stuff and stick it into mi elbows n wrists, I'm game for a laugh..
As for my pockets, you will all have to sign the official secrets act before being allowed to leave. There is sensitive information in those pockets.. I've been Ra's MI5 handler for a number of years now & between us we've been privy to some rather dangerous knowledge  :shock:Me-Tony

Thanks folks. Means a lot..
Rose, damn right, if jammy d's are eaten correctly they don't leave any crumbs, i.e, in one mouthful, but still skillfully separating the two biscuit halfs.. Lol
Mad.. Sorry but me & Ra are a team of two, no room for learners tagging along. I will however forward you one of Ra's latest survival guides...
Ron..... SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH  :???:
Thank you again everyone... I do hope they are willing to do something.....

Well, I got to the clinic expecting to see the nurse and it was the docs. Out of the three there guess which one I had to see.. The one that could barely speak bloody English
My notes were at the other hospital for wednesdays orthopaedic appointment... So I had to try & remember what had been going on. He barely glanced at the notes that I had written down, started to say that he dint think I had sero-neg because if I did they would have put me on some of the meth type drugs :???: The nurse told me last time I saw her that for now they dint see the point in putting me on them till I needed to... She said it is sero-neg & so did the specialist I originally saw.
He Offered me the chance to speak to a shrink
Basically he gave me another depo injection as the last one did help the hands last time.
I can ask the GP to increase my fentanyl patch for the breakthrough pain...
Go back in six months  Waste of time...
I'm not seeing him again...
I think I will see if this jab works then ring to speak to the nurse.
Let's hope wednesday goes better..
Sorry, I'm just a but fed up today..

I'm not surprised you are fed up: one of the biggest problems with the medicos is that we, mere suffering patients, are on the receiving end of a personal opinion. 'I don't know why Dr Whoever thinks you have diptheria, it's obviously elephantitis and I will treat you accordingly.' is a rather extreme example of what I am trying to say. It's frustrating enough being people like us then we have to deal with people like them (doctors, I mean). Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I hope Wednesday's appointment goes a darn sight better, Tony. Count me in for that one, too. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
I am so sorry that you saw a doctor who could not speak much english and didn't except what the other dotors have said. Let's hope that you get on a lot better with Wednesdays appointment. Honestly these doctor's make me so mad, think they are the bee's knees, and all of them have something different to say. Thank god we have this forum that we can off-load eh, otherwise we would all be needing a shrink. Well keep us informed Tony wont you.
