Ha Ha , I don't want to sound morbid, or think your gonna keel over today, but I was thinking what songs would I want at my funeral.
Here goes
1..Man With The Child In His Eyes................. Kate Bush.
2..Man Of The World .....................................Fleetwood Mac
3..Stargazer................................Richie Blackmore's Rainbow.
4..Goodbye To Love...................... The Carpenters
5..Thunderstruck.............................A.C.D.C.
A bit varied, I was going to include anything by Thin Lizzy, and Camel, but you can only pick 5, what are your top 5 funeral songs. Alanthemanc

April in Paris sung by Sarah Vaughan. It was supposed to be played at our wedding but due to a slip up by the registry office staff it wasn't, we had something else which was obviously memorable - not. At my dad's cremation the congregation read The Lord is my Shepherd. It was fabulous, far better than grotty wavering singing. Mr DD will be played out to the ovens on a wave of Champagne Supernova by Oasis.Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Some might say that whatever you choose at your funeral, sort of reflects your personality while your alive. That Sarah Vaughn, and Ella Fitzgerald are legends, good choice. ALanthemanc0 -

I think my mother wants Frank Sinatra at her funeral, but she does like Queen, Oasis, but she hates the Smiths . Strange woman, although I can't see anyone picking " Heaven knows I'm miserable now ", that would be toooooo depressing. Alanthemanc0 -

Staying Alive by the Bee Gees But seriously? Probably Don't Stop Me Now by Queen.
I would like it recorded that, if I wasn't a Sikh and was being buried rather than cremated, I would like my epitaph (is that the right word?) to read:
Nina Kaur Kang
BURIED ALIVE

I'm going into church to 'O mio babio caro'.
Having the hymns 'The servant King', 'Shine Jesus Shine', 'Thine be the Glory' and 'Here in the love of Christ I stand' - and when it's time for the curtain to go round at the crem I'm having 'Who wants to live for ever' by Queen!!0 -
Janet is under strict instructions... Obviously I am shedding my mortal coil before her..
David Bowie - Sorrow (it has been let known that this is not a reflection on Janet with her long blonde her and her eyes of blue..)
David Bowie - My Death

ooh - thought I was the only one who thought about this sort of stuff and it was just me being morbid due to my currently not very upbeat state of mind!
Pirates of the Carribean theme tune, played VERY loudly by the brass band my brother plays with (they are very good).
And/or Sarabande by somebody "classical" I can't remember at the mo.
Or, in my really morbid moments, I think I would like "Ne Me Quitte Pas" (Don't leave me) sung by Nina Simone (guaranteed to make even the most unemotional person howl I reckon - and I'd like to think someone would cry at my funeral )

My request would be:
BECAUSE YOU LOVED ME--CELION DION
FEILDS OF GOLD--EVA CASSIDY
TOMMORROW NEVER COMES-- ROWAN KEATING
THEN FOR THE HELL OF IT ANY BIT OF COUNTRY WILL DO ESPECIALLY A BIT OF JOHNNY CASH!!
THATS A HARD ONE TO THINK OF,especially as I have just got my life back to some sort of normal ask in again in about 10yrs0
