Rabbit! Dad used to knock them over whilst working nights, with the vehicle headlights blinding them, he'd come home with some still alive (some got away!) rabbits in the boot of his car. The small bones were a pain for little children, I still won't eat one.0

My hate is from school, they used to dish up apricots and peaches in custard. I did warn them that if they made me eat it, they would have to accept what happened next. I still hate them today with a vengance.

I was terribly fussy as a child. I also suffered chronic anaemia which I was hospitalised for. Henceforth I have grown up STILL hating many foods and still have some issues about eating habits. I can't bear hot things and cold things on the same plate, i.e. salad and jacket spuds or tinned cold fruit and custard. Certain foods together are a complete no no, i.e. eggs with potatoes, (other than chips). I can't bear my plate piled high with food. Don't like anything spicy or hot and cannot stomach cauliflower, coconut, most veg actually. I'm a nightmare to cater for and am happiest when I'm left to my own devices. I'll only eat if I'm hungry, because I remember my dad yelling at me, "You're not leaving the table until every scrap is eaten!" I can't leave food on my plate uneaten without huge amounts of guilt and embarrassment. I'd rather go hungry.Sue (Cloud9)0

My dad absolutely loves brussel sprouts (which I've always hated), he loved them to the point where he would make a CURRY from them. Can you imagine the smell?? Sometimes when I go round to see them and he's cooking it, I can smell it all the way down the drive - yuck!
He also loves liver - god, the things that man eats. I know it's very good for you, but I can't stand it either!

I can remember as a little kid the family often used to go down to Folkestone Harbour. There we would have dishes of cockles from the stalls at 6d a time (they were freshly landed off the fishing boats).I can still smell the fish and hear the seagulls..........................
Another thing comes to mind.Every Sunday afternoon when I was little the 'winkle' man used to come round the neigbourhood.Sunday tea was winkles and bread and butter.I can still remember sitting at the table getting the winkles out with a pin!!
It's so long since I've had them don't know if I could eat them now.
