Blue Badge easy or not to obtain?

Hi ,Iam just going to apply for a Blue Badge,is it easy getting one does any one no?The form makes me feel awful.My hands feet are bad with RA.Awful when i first get out of a car ,but this question on (how long does it take you to walk 1 meter)well could be a minute or less when i get my feet going so to speak.Do i put the longest time it takes me Really dont want any free i would be only to pleased to pay my spot but just to be near the shop etc a bit more would be great. Is it easy to get a badge does anyone know? Thanks Patw

    Hi Pat,

    If you already get mobility allowance you should get one fairly easily. If not, well, it's a matter of proving how much you need one.

    If you do get turned down the first time you can always appeal.

    I think you should tell them how bad you are at your worst. Is your G.P. going to support you? Mine did and it was so very easy.

    There was a thread on this topic recently, Paddyw. If you put 'Blue Badge' into the search engine it'll probably come up. I seem to remember it was a lot easier in some aeas than others.

    You dont say if you receive DLA or not....I dont but got one reasonably easily.
    I do need it but the times I dont..... I dont use it but its always in my glove box.
    Fill the form in thinking about your worse day.....not the way you particularly feel when you are filling it in.
