    Hi Mig
You and me both, we had a lovely lady on here called Annie...and she inspired to have a go...I did manage to finish a pram blanket....mind you the baby is 18 months old now
    Good luck with it.
    Love

How long it takes is immaterial (oooh, nice pun DD!) It's the fact that YOU have DONE IT that matters - what a clever one you are! I never got the hang of crochet and have lost the patience to knit. I used to love doing Fair Isle and Arran - alas no more. Your post, however, lacks one vital detail - what colour have you used? I will go for my favourite, blue. DD

I'm always in awe of anyone who can knit, crochet etc - I never have the patience to finish anything that takes me longer than 10 minutes :D My daughters used to tell me off for not finishing the pictures in their colouring books!

Oh mig, bless you, that made me smile! Crochet is a very 'hands on' kinda thing to do, so no wonder your effort and time is reflected in its colour! I am sure it will wash up beautifully in some Woolite or somesuch - use something gentle on it, please, modern detergents use far too much bleach in pursuit of the mythical 'whiter than white'. I hope you carry on with the project: who cares how long it takes? There's unfinished stuff all over the world and who cares as long as it gives someone, somewhere some purpose and sense of achievement. DD

PS Nina? I love colouring in. Just between you and me I still do some from time to time!

I found crotchet very therapeutic. Neverless the blanket I made my little on had more holes than wool lol. Still have it though. I'd love to make another but don't want to make one that will keep kids cold and of nil use pmsl

My mother-in-law taught me to crochet many years ago. I have very fond memories of her, and I've always been grateful that she passed on that skill to me. Sadly, many of these skills are dying out because parents haven't got the time to pass them on any more, and children no longer show much interest.
