Is there any possibility that my Psoriasis is kicked off by Antibiotics taken to cure a throat infection. Does anyone else have a flare up after taking medication. :???:

Hi and welcome, Tiatod,
I'm afraid I'm another one who can't help you (Mine's RA) but the Helpline people probably could and it might be worth searching through Arthritis Care's publications in case there's anything on it.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi, I do believe there is a link between psoriasis and throat infections. Your gp or the helpline should provide more info.
Hope it gets better for you.0 -

Hey......
Yes I believe there is a connection with medication.
Mine got quite bad after I started taking beta-blockers......arthritis followed on about a year later.

Hi Tia,
I have PA and on a vast array of drugs recently I had a bad reaction to anti TNF Humira, this hospitalised me and I was taken off all drugs and anti biotics were given as a precaution. I flared rather spectacularly during the no meds and I'm sure that it's that the caused the flare rather than anti biotics. But, we are all different, we all react differently to drugs.
I would mention it to your rheumatologist when you see them next, it's something they should know.
Hope you're feeling ok now? Love and hugs xxx'grá agus solas'

Mine's RA. I was told very early on that any rise in temp was likely to set it off. After antibiotics I usually feel better than before for a while. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
