If you thought phone hacking, as in this scandle thats going on at the moment is mumbo jumbo, I did a bit of basic research on the internet, and you don't need a degree in rocket science to pull it off.
From what I can gather it involves Bluetooth, and some basic electronics equipment.
Surveillance equipment can be bought for a few quid, and you could set yourself up as a private detective for about £3.000.
A James Bond type fountain pen microphone is about £40., a James Bond type camera in the neck tie, about the same. A car type tracking device that will tell you where your husband or wife is at any one time is about £150., so you get my drift.
A mate of mine was working with a so called Private Detective, and spent most of his time on divorce cases, a bit sad really. Anyone can set themselves up and call themself a Private Detective, beware, you could be being watched..... Alanthemanc

From what I can gather, if you don't want your phone hacked, a basic precaution is to turn off bluetooth when at all possible. Alanthemanc

I always turn my bluetooth off, but I wonder what other ways there are to hack into someone's phone...its really scary what some of these people can do, and I think maybe they get a lot of help from someone on the inside

All you need to do is Youtube the subject. One piece of hacking software in the U.S.A., looks very easy, but firghtening when you consider security. You can even hack into text messages, or even if the phone is just switched on, listen to conversations around a table........ not good. Alanthemanc

Any electronic coms system can be hacked it's just a matter of cost and time, passwords can be defeated by simple decrypting programs freeely available on the web, what gets me is how many people did they use to get all this info and how much did it cost them, they must have known it a board room level I mean it was into the hundreds of thousands of pounds so the high ups knew seeming they were the one writing the cheques and handing out the cold hard stuff in brown envolopes.
The shop floor workers loose their jobs due to a shark saving his skin, no loyalty there then hey Rupert.
