Feeling yuck!

Hi all, hope you're all feeling not too bad in this "lovely" summer(?) weather we're having, It does mess you up what with being hot one minute and cold/raining the next, but I'm sure we will cope with whatever is thrown at us as usual. I have a question, I'm trying to get off tramadol at the moment and go back to using co-dydramol for the pain, I thought now would be a good time as I've just had a steroid injection, even though I'm taking it slowly I'm still having problems, feeling yucky and having stomach problems, now I've got diahorea, has anyone had experience of this or do you think I should talk to my GP? On another note, I'm going for my cataract appointment next Thursday, I'll let you know how I get on. I also need to have an endoscopy in about 3/4 weeks (unrelated to above problem) and when the time comes I would like to ask for pocket duties if I may. Wishing you all well,
Sue x

Hi Nanasue
Gosh you are in for a time , dont worry we will be there when you need us.
Has for the tramadol, I only tried them for two weeks, and they didnt suit me one bit, so I cant really help with your question, but I do hope it clears up very soon for you.
Good luck with it all, and let us know how you get on.Love

Hello all, I've finally figured out what all my problems have been. I've been suffering from tramadol withdrawal symptoms, I knew they could be addictive, but I didn't realise how bad. When I googled it I got a shock, so I'm slowly coming off them.I now realise that was the problem I had when I was so ill in April '10. I'll never be taking them again, hopefully I'll now get back on track and things will improve. Here's to a good weekend for everyone 8)

I'm so sorry you've been feeling so bad. Tramadol gets me like that when I stop taking it too. I get chills, sweats, insomnia, diarrhea and I generally feel terrible like I've got a bad case of the flu. It's happened 3 times now and I won't touch the stuff anymore even though my rheumy wants me to go back on it.
I hope you're feeling better soon!

Hi ...I'm glad you've figured out what was wrong.....and i'm sorry you are having so many withdrawl symptoms...I only took it for a couple of weeks but now they have me on Oromorph so I def. stopped taking it.
Good luck with the gastro......give me a reminder and I'll be in your pocket......My pockets were full on Wed....I had a double whammy ...camera both ends and everyone was great. Loads of crumbs, spilled vino etc in my pockets but who cares
By the way are you coming off the tramadol youselv or have you gone to the GP to get advice on how to do it gently and safely? I think I would
Love
