...but now I'm back. So much has happened since I was last here. The best news is that I got DLA - highest care and higher mobility, so I am feeling much more relaxed about life. We turned the mobility into Motobility and are feeling so much less isolated. We have been moved to a very nice scatter flat (step two in the three-step "homeless" process). It's just...well, nicer now. My pain is still fairly intolerable most of the time. I had a visit with the physios and am pleased I have moved to an area that means I go to different physios. One of the physios I saw added what he though was 2 and 2 and got 5. He treated me as if I were a scrounger and work-shy piece of you-know-what. By the time I got home I was in tears. But I don't have to see him again and will find out how to complain in the weeks to come.
But, bottom line, I'm still a lot of "ouch" but alot less "alas." We are now going through the process of getting my husband carer's allowance since he does everything for me, dear man. It's all falling into place.
Gentle hugs to all...

Thank you, Val. It's been a time of ups and downs...because of my son-in-law losing his job (we were living with them), we were made homeless at the end of May because the house we were all sharing become unaffordable. But we are being well cared for by the council and have been treated with such great kindness and understanding. We are finally feeling more settled and hoping all will continue to go smoothly.
