Hi all , some may remember me ,it is a while since I was on my computer broke then i had a bad flare . My hubby also was diagnosed with lung desease so life has been horrible for weeks . We decided to have a few days in Scotland touring , so now I am back complete with a new computer . Anyway to get to the point I got my electric wheelchair this week (my hubby cant push me anymore) it is great . Two ladys came out to give me lessons on using it . It is so strange they had me going down cerbs backwards it was terrifing . I am enjoying going out shopping not being pushed , i can choose where i go now .
I am so pleased with the local wheelchair people they are so nice and helpful . So freedom at last ..........jillyx

Hello Jilly, it's good to hear you've got an electric chair, I'm sure things will be alot easier for you now. It's good to hear that you had such a positive experience with the help from those ladies, that's how things should be but sadly in this day and age not always so. Good luck and no speeding.

Oh Jilly I am so sorry that things have been so rough for you and your husband recently. But I am thrilled that you are enjoying your new electric wheelchair! As for going down backwards that really does sound truly terrifying! I am glad you are already enjoying the freedom it gives both of you.

    Thinking of you.

    Hi Jilly
Sorry you've both had such a horrible time recently but you must be chuffed with the electric wheelchair and the new found freedom.
It does sound frightening going down backwards....I dont have an electric wheelchair but I have a scooter and what a difference that make to independence.....My husband drops me off at our Metro Center and goes and does wht he wants to do and then picks me up later....or if we h=are on holiday and stop in a largish place.......at one time when i was walking he would just have gone up the main street withme and that was it.....but now i have this....we go up and down every street there is  In fact one time we were on holiday....I was driving along merrily and suddenly he said....."lets find somewhere for coffee....I'm tired  " I looked at him and laughred and said I'm not tired :lol::lol: But even if he is with me it makes such a difference to independence......have you any idea how far you can go.....dont know much about electric wheelchairs?????

    Love
