    Hi Mig..

Nice to hear your appointment went well..
Hope the steroids work for you too..
I have the depo mendrone injection in bum cheek, doesn't hurt and lasts up to 12 weeks they say.. I found it has helped alot with my swelling and i do feel better with having..
Podiatry i believe is a form of healthcare that provides preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of patients with foot and lower limb problems.

Glad it went well, mig. I love steroid jabs. They work like a dream for me though not for everyone.

I could have told you what podiatrists do a few weeks ago. For years the podiatrist has cut my toenails and watched out for foot problems ever since they changed their name from chiropodists. Then I saw a thread on this forum where someone talked about podiatrist in terms of sorting out insoles or shoes for her. That's what the orthotist has done for me for about 40 years - measured me & fit me with surgical shoes and insoles. My guess is that some 'podiatrists' can deal with some basic 'orthotic' stuff. Hope it goes well.

There have been a few threads about comfortable shoes. You may be able to find something that would help you temporarily.
