Hi all, well after waiting some time I finally saw the Rheumy this morning and I am now officially diagnosed with OA in my hands, knees and feet - the latter was a bit of a shock!
Also a pleasant shock was the attitude of the rheumy and his off-siders, which I was concerned wouldn't be too good based on some comments I read on here - they were great, very supportive and could not have been more helpful!
As my hands had already been x-rayed, the rheumy sent me for x-rays on my knees and feet and more blood tests to investigate whether there's more to my condition than just OA.
Thank you all for your support so far.
Scozzie

    Evening Scozzie

I am really pleased you had such a positive appointment today and that, although some of it was a shock, you now have a better idea of what is going on. Hope you don't have to wait too long for the next set of tests and results.

    Thinking of you.

    Love Tilly xxx

    Hi Scozzi
Glad you have got results.....at least you know what you are coping with now and the docs know what they are coping with as well so hopefully your pain med will get sorted out....thats one of the first moves
I've got an Ortho....not a rheumy because i have OA and he is lovely.
    Love

I'm glad everyone was so helpful, scozzie.

Sorry the disease seems to have gone a bit further than you'd thought but it sounds as if your team are well on the ball which will be good for your future.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Thanks all, it's relief to have the diagnosis at last - although my hands are giving me merry hell over the past three or four days, which was good for the rheumy appointment ... but not any more ... lol!!!

    Hi scozzie
Morning hope you are quite well today.
I am pleased that your rhummy people seem to be looking after you well, but sorry to read you were diagnosed with a little more OA than you expected.

    Take care
