morning all,where have all the gooseberries gone?Once told a neighbour who was a very young bride that you had to shave them,next day she said husband wont be having them again,didnt speak to me for days when i told her the truth.Mig

Unfortunately gooseberries are regarded as a niche or minor crop and generally supermarkets are only interested in high volume crops especially cheap imports even when are own are in season.Few of my farmer customers grow them since they have problems finding a market for them and is almost entirely restricted to farm gate sales.
