was looking on help chat and saw a bit about trials that had been held on this. it is said to be big help with inflimation and stiffness so while was at docs got her to check my meds to make sure no reason why should not take them . i know i should eat oily fish but do not like it so on day 2 no difference yet but even if only helps a little will be worth it had good look around as some shops it was very expensive for same quantitys think it had to be 300mg so will take for 3 months and hope fingers crossed val

    Hi val

I don't like oily fish either, my mil keeps telling me I should eat them.

I hope the tabs work for you and will watch for any of your updates.

Omega three is in some margarines too.

I used to religously take omega 3 and many other vitamins as i was always catching colds/infections/viruses.. so i tried to boost my immune system..i stopped few years ago as i was seeing no difference..Did not work for me.. it's actually been weird since my arthritis symptoms started september last year i have had one cold and no viruses, wether that is because i have not been out the house much so i have not caught anything or wether it has anything to do with tablets now on??
I hope it works for you and you notice some benefits.. anything is worth a try if there is a chance it can help you in anyway..xx

    Hi,

You may be interested in a couple of books I'm currently reading through.

The Inflammation Syndrome by Jack Challem

The Anti-Inflammation Diet & Recipe Book by Jessica K. Black

Very very useful if you're at all interested in the dietary aspect of inflammation, what provokes it & what doesn't etc. 'The Inflammation Syndrome' is a real eye opener!

    Hi ValVal,

I´ve just started taking omega3 for AS and hopefully will begin to see some beneficial effects in a few months. I´ve found it much cheaper to get it over the internet (tried HealthSpan in Channel Islands and iHerb in the USA). Buying as a liquid rather than capsules also helps save a few pennies. Anything that helps to reduce my intake of NSAIDS has got to be good thing.

Yep, Tim is right, the liquid is cheaper but obviously doesn't taste very nice!!

I take 7 Seas Extra High Strength Pure Cod Liver Oil

Despite the name it actually contains more fish oil than fish liver oil, if you know what I mean.

    Two teaspoons a day.......!
