They have been doing the same to loads of peeps on here Tracey. It is so unfair and causes them so much unecessary stress. Deep down I think they know that some will give up due to the hassle and stress caused. It is a money saving exercise.
You have done the right thing by contacting CAB. Now go through the medical with them and point out all the errors. Show them the stuff connected to leaving work....it will all fall into place.
I know how you feel needing to switch off from it all as it is so much hard work! But you are on a roll now.....

Hi, Sorry that you are going through all this crap. I've been their too and know how it is and the worry it causes. The main thing is to appeal as soon as you can and as you said, get a copy of the full report.
When you do, look at it and see exactly what they've put down as your abilities and I think you may find that they say that you can do a lot more than you told them. They also seem to think that because you can do something once, you could do it all day, day after day, when in fact, doing it once has hurt and repeating it would not be possible for however long it would take you, when you feel at your worse. Point out too, that you would not be able to say which days you could work, but your working life would be unrelieable, as you often need days to rest and may need to go home to rest during your working day, if this is likely, as I know I have to have frequent rests at odd times.
I hope you manage to get the result you need. It's hard looking and telling people about the negative side of your illness, we are so conditioned to make the best of everything, but that is a false picture and is the right thing to do. Sorry this post sounds like me preaching to you and thats the last thing I want to do.
So, good luck, love Sue0 -
Was lovely signing in this morning and looking at the messages of support off people.. just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU... for everything.. your words of encouragement and support are just what the doctor ordered..

Hi Tracey
I am so shocked at the way you have been treated. I am about to go through the same thing myself and I know I am going to have a fight on my hands. Stay strong and dont give up. We all need to make a stand and not back down. Hope you have a lovely weekend and manage to chill out for a while. Keep us posted.

Hi Tracy,
I don't know much about esa except they don't operate in the same reality to the real world .... at all.... not even close.....
A while back one of our best forum people was told she was fit for work.... now if thats their base line we all are! It was so stupid, so wrong and so bad that anyone is put through that much stress....
She did win but none of you should have to go through that one!
Hang in there and keep fighting your corner. Glad you have some folks to help with the tribunal/appeal thing and right behind you. Cris x0 -
Hi Tracy
Sorry Im late , just back from my hols....my dongle was rubbish...Im so sorry to hear how you have been treated, but I am not shocked, its seems to the norm that you have a lovely kind person to interview you and put you at ease....then they tell a pack of lies...its awful to put people through this.
I have a dear friend that had gone through the same, she has appealed twice, and complained of her treatment, eventually she received it, but only after being put on ADs.
I really do hope wish you good luck with it all, and dont give up, we are all behind you.Love

Your right Barbera i think they are nice like that on purpose, i remember feeling really at ease and he said it was refreshing to see someone genuine.. Must be a one liner he says to everyone..
Have not heard from CAB yet so will ring them tomorrow see what going on i really want to get the ball rolling and get my evidence together..Will keep you posted on whats happening..
Thanks again all..xxTracyxx0 -
Just thought i would give an update..
CAB rang this morning and were very helpful..Have advised me on what to do now..Any coresspondence that comes to me will also go to the CAB advisor.. will have an appointment in the next week or so..
Lady i spoke to said there seemed to be no reason as to why i shouldn't get ESA and is going to also help me apply for DLA as she believes i should be getting middle DLA too..
I am just relieved the ball is now rolling and am feeling a little bit more relaxed knowing i have someone to help put my case together..xxTracyxx0 -
I'm glad too Tracy. CAB are good people to have on board. The wheels are in motion. The wine's in the fridge for tonight. Youve earned that!If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Sticky..You do make me chuckle..
You love the wine..I reckon your a cyber alcoholic lol (only joking, love ya really).. Will have to move over that bottle of wine in the fridge and pop a bottle of vodka in as i reckon the vodka will knock me out before the wine (hip giving me gip)xxTracyxx0 -
I'm a cyber alcoholic??? Who's on the vodka???
Seriously, I do love wine but only have one small glass with my evening meal. I'm fortunate that my ALT levels have never gone above 20. Maybe the rubbishy RA gene is compensated for by a decent 'liver gene'.
Sorry about the hip.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

LMAO.. You do make me chuckle sticky ..
They say one glass a day keeps the doctor away ..the longer we stay away from the doctors the better lol.. so you drink till ya hearts content lol..
Vodka is my favourite and as i only drink on here i'd rather go straight to the vodka on a bad day lol..might aswell go the whole hog..
Don't forget i blonde sticky... what are ALT levels??? something to do with your liver?xxTracyxx0 -
Hi Tracy
I just want to wish you good luck..... when I heard that the queen mother had a gin and tonic every night...I thought well if it good enough for her...and she did live to be over 100...Love

Hi Tracy,
It is good that you are getting some good advice and backup from CAB. Fingers crossed for you but is such an outrage that so many are having to go through all the upset and hassle.
Now about this vodka... mixed with a drop of lime or lemonade will do if there is a spare glass going.
Lv, I x0 -
Ironic nice to see you on the same wave length as me with the vodka ..
Plenty to go round.. it's good to share..
Barbera how lovely it would be to live to 100.. can't see me doing that but miracles may happen eh??xxTracyxx0 -
