Been getting this for a while now. My ring finger on my right hand is all bent and very, very sore. Anyone else get this?
Thanks,

This sounds like going to the doctors time. I only keep getting a rash on the first three fingers on the left hand. So my wedding rings keep coming on and off.

Hope you get it sorted out, tell us what the doctor has to say.

My ring finger (wedding ring) keeps swelling and last summer I cried in the jewellers when they had to cut it off, my husband has since bought me a new ring with small diamonds in cos I normally only wear that one now and I have it a couple of sizes too big and got a ring sizer (gold clamp from ebay) you fit it to ring so if my finger swells I can still get it off.

Sending much to love to all. xx

I discovered, the other day, that my wedding ring has been bent into an oval!! I don't think my finger has swelled up that much, although I do wear arthritic gloves sometimes. Has anyone had this problem? I'm going to have to get the ring to be made into a round shape again. Weird!!! Molly x

    Hi magenta

My left hand is now in a constant fist position and my wedding ring is still on my finger. The problem I have every so often is that if I do not dry my hands properly it can go red and start to itch, so I try to take extra care.
My engagement ring and eternity ring are safely in my jewel box.

I hope the gp can give you something to help with your rash.

    Hiya,

I don't know what it is. If I rest it, it becomes less sore. Usually gets more swollen after driving and doing ordinary day to day things. It's not bent into my fist cos I can't do that-very odd!

Not got a drs appt. cos it will be away by next week. I'll just try and rest it more.

I know how you felt when you had to have your wedding ring cut off.It was so upsetting when I had mine cut off a few years ago (had to fight back the tears in the jewellers!) this was of course due to RA.I felt claustaphobic when I couldn't get it off.........................

The ring finger gets sore and goes a pink/blue colour when I am feeling rotten and I can't bend the middle finger on the right hand, its so painful and sore. My fingers are a funny sort of twisted shape. They seem to have got worse recently, although it could be that because they hurt, I've looked at them more! Love Suexxx

Hi, my RA started 1993 (ish) with my wedding ring finger swelling up (at that time this was the only visible sign that I had rheumatoid arthritis). Luckily I managed to get my original wedding ring off by soaking my hand in cold water and using washing up liquid.

Second ring was a cheap man's 'band of gold' as men's sizes come up larger. This eventually had to be sawn off.

Third ring - husband had it made by a jeweller. This time it's not a closed ring - it's open ended (like a snake wrapped around my finger). When it has had to come off (when I had carpal tunnel release surgery) husband just opened it up with 2 pairs of grips and then it was closed again when I was ready for it to go back on. (Also this means that I don't need to panic if my finger swells up and gives me peace of mind)

Husband had it made as a suprise for me - I would have asked jeweller to include the gold from my actual wedding ring but as I have 2 daughters they both can have one now as and when.
