I dont get DLA...currently I am appealing my failed ESA medical and i really dont have the strenght to fight another one at the same time..but it would be alot easier for me at the moment if I had a blue badge.

I am not sure if you can apply for one if you dont get dla.

any info would be great.

I have both but you can get a blue badge without getting DLA, it really helps to get closer parking and you can also s a blue badge to get half price tickets at some concerts, theatres and so you don't have to queue.

    Course you can Stephen....

take a look online at the application process in your area..it varies.

In our area the GP used to have to sign, but now it's all online with the odd random one checked out via the GP as far as l can see.

DLA is not a prerequisite, but CAN be a passport to blue badge if you get higher rate mobility component

    Hi Stephen,
I got my blue badge last month now I don't know if the procedures are different for each council but, for me I posted my forms off on the Monday
and was utterly gob smacked when my blue badge arrived on the Friday of the same week  brilliant service and it's been so useful, I'm in and out of hospital, physio, hand therapy, gp's etc and it's made life so much easier, I'm so glad I applied. Good Luck and let us know how you get on? Love and hugs xxx
