and I almost wet myself..when I noticed that in the cafe, they had put the tables with the pull out chairs for disabled people, a little too far from the counter..I dont think they fully understand the whole point of disabled seating....still chuckling..I did mention to the young lady at the till and all I got was a blank look of i dont care...lol

It's like a sort of halhearted attemp isn't it?

I remember a loo for people with disabilities which you couldn't reach the chain to pull it unless you could stand up.....lovely :???:

Our disabled loo in moggisons here is smashing.. Always clean etc, emergency chord ready for grabbing, all great until I go to wash mi hands, sink is at wheelchair level, ad is the mirror... I have trouble bending over that far... LOL
Guess if there were grab bars at the side of the sink it would make a small amount of difference but I reckon they assume we are all in wheelchairs eh?

 This is so true, I use two crutches and people either talk slow, shout at me as if I am deaf or completely ignore me and only talk to my husband

Don't get me ranting about that again Len.... It's disgusting eh?
Half the little brats need more exercise these days not less...
Then there's the excuse that kids should not be expected to walk through a car park etc..... Control your children, teach them how to cross a road safely.... Hey presto, no knocked down crisp wrapper, or whatever the numpties are calling their brats these days..
It won't be long before one of them calls their demonic offspring asbo..

ohh..dont get me going..then you have those who have a child seat in the car..but park in the bays even if they dont have a kid with them...or you get some ****..who park in the disabled bay without a badge and clearly had no problem walking...you say to the staff in store and they do **** all... :green

That makes me so mad. I dont know how many times the disabled bays at our local supermarket have had cars with no blue badge or even delivery vans parked in them. When I complain about this I get a blank stare and a shrug of the shoulders.

from what I can gather, because the car park is private ground, its upto the supermaket to enforce its policy ( they are not breaking the law), its just a real shame they really dont give a hoot, when you complain about it...

    Disabled and mothers parking

My local Asda has parking right outside the store for the disabled and moms with kids

The parking bays for the moms with kids bays are nearer the store than the disabled ones
Lets see if I have got this correct, mothers, generally young and in good health, kids in a wheeled pram so no problem in travelling? the disabled.. need I say anymore?

Believe it or not there is a reason for this, young moms spend more than the disabled therefore their custom is of a high priorty and great effort is made to to keep that custom

Hmmm.. You always have to bring this one up don't you  That's rubbish and you're just trying to get people annoyed-not good!
