Hi
I got a call from the GP this morning with regards all the tests etc.

Fractured pelvis......YES....but she says it would be so easy to just leave it to repair itself but she wants to investigate further incase there are any underlying issues???

Referring me to a GENERALIST???/anyone ever heard that word????...I assume it is the oppostie to SPECIALIST ...anyway.... a consultant at the hospital I've been going to.She will fax him today and I should hear in a couple of weeks. This is mainly because the liver scan was a bit higher than it should be....it always is a bit high because of my epilepsy tablets but she has gone back over my notes from years ago and its higher than any of the other readings.

Thats about it except a couple of tests she has to chase up.
She seems happy with the morpine dose that she put me on 6 days ago....I'm a bit sorer than I was when I was on the higher does but not as groggy so thats being left for the minute.

Love
Hileena

    Oh Poor poor you Hileena

I bet that feels such a lot to take in!!

So glad you have such a thorough GP though - glad she isn't taking any risks with your health.

I know epilepsy meds can do that, but if the reading as still high even taking into account....worth checking out to be sure.

You keep on as you are my lovely and glad you are less 'out of it'

    Love

A 'generalist' is a new one on me too, Hileena. You will have to educate us as you learn more.

I guess, if the pelvis is knitting together and the liver scan doesn't show much more than the epilepsy meds would cause, that is good.

And good that you're managing on the lower dose of morphine.

So, onwards and upwards to the next stage - Mr or Mrs Generalist. Keep us informed please, Hileena.

    Hi Toni
It was a lot to take in...believe it or not I condensed that lot.....thought you might fall asleep reading it
Appaerently the reading is higher than it normall has been beforeeven with the ep tablets. So ...I'm glad she is checking it out.

    Hi Sticky,
I thought some of you would have heard of a generalist.......I never have but that doesnt mean anything

It doesnt matter what his title is...if he can come up with anything I will be very grateful.

As for the morphine.....i can still only walk about a dozen steps or so with crutches ...but if I'm around the house I'm up and down all the time {not the stairs  } so its OK...but if I go out on my scooter and get on and off to go round shops it doesnt work.....not enough of a break in between getting on it and getting off again but its better than being groggy....I'll put up with that

    Like you say....onward and upward

I honestly didn't mean to be sarkey. It's my stupid sense of humour. Gets me into a lot of trouble. But I know you can handle it.

    Hileena,

Sorry to hear you have something that's needs addressing, I can only say the same as the others that you have a great GP who sounds like they really care so go with it and let them find out the full story.

Hope you get it sorted and feel better soon. X

OK, let's sort this one out right now, Hileena. neither of us is serious - unless we say we're being serious. Right? Seriously?

Hope you have a seriously good day.

Solved it. Your GP said 'journalist'. They want to do a story about you, simples. DD

    Hi Hileena

Just catching up on your posts sorry I am a bit late.
Great news that your chest xrays were fine, that must have been a relief for you. It is also good that the morphine is helping you too, I am pleased about that.

I have just read that an appointmentt has been made for you as your gp promised, my word she is good. I will be ready for pocket duty next wednesday.

    Take care
