Hiya to everyone
Sorry i havent been around much, im having to use my sons laptop as mine is not liking me at the moment and is currently trying to be fixed!!
Well been to see consultant last week and i had good new regarding my knee...........he said that the operation seems to be working so far, there is slight grinding which he is going to keep an eye on as he does not want the graft over growing even though there isnt much he can do about that if it does apart from another op to trim it down however the news regarding my hip isnt so good my consultant wants me to see a hip specialist so he can assess if i need to have a hip replacement!!.....last week i did think if its not one thing its another but now that i have had a few days to think about things im thinking what life throws at me i will deal with, well thats what im thinking now anyway next week could be totally different, im just pleased that the graft seems to be working on my knee which is a great thing for the future and for people suffering with this debelatating arthritis !!

Hi Joann
I am pleased to hear about the knee. Sorry to hear about the hip but at least there is a long term solution there if need be.
Regards

Hi, it's good news about the knee, isn't it? I can understand your worry about the hip but if a replacement means less pain and greater mobility then that can only be a good thing. That's the problem with this blasted dross isn't it? It never bloody stops. Keep up the good work with the knee and let us know, whenever you can, how you are getting on. I wish you well. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Joann,
It is wonderful news about the knee and he will be keeping a watchful eye on it. Do you know if they have done more of the same procedure since you had your operation?
Good luck with your hip appointment when it comes through, hopefully you won’t have to have it done until you are completely ready if it is decided that you do need it.

Hi
As far as im aware there was only me and one other having the operation at the time and there hasnt been any mention of anyone else having the procedure done , I think the consultant was waiting for results as the operation has been done slightly different to the way it has been done in other parts of the country, I no that they were looking to start offering this procedure routinely within the next few yrsJo-Ann0 -
