Me. I have just realised that I have not taken any steroids since Friday morning. I piddled about with me meds tin on Friday morning and came to the end of two packets of the wonderful stuff, and I remember thinking 'I must replenish from my meds drawer . . ' . I piddled about on Friday evening, Saturday morning, Saturday evening, the same for Sunday and Monday, and then, a little earlier, I remembered I STILL hadn't replenished, let alone take any! Twerp. Idiot. Clot. Berk. Fool. So, I have downed some and I hope they make the difference. My fingers are crossed. DD

You are all so kind and all so wrong. It was a ludicrously stupid thing to forget, especially as I adore those little tiny pills so, so much. I don't forget the other tablets, even the two which are only weekly (well, sometimes I do but not that often!). Anyhoo, despite the temptation to reward myself with a lovely dose of 10, I didn't. 4.5 only and yes, I am already feeling a little better. Ghastly things. Why do they have to work so well? Why doesn't anything else match them in efficacy? Grrrr.

Mr and Mrs Mig Mig? Thank you, it's very kind of you to think of me. Joan, honestly I am not that busy a person, I just give a very good impression of being so! Tilly - I hope you haven't aquired RSI from doing all those shocked faces! DD

I hope the steroids kick in soon and it will help with the knee. Easily done by being so preoccupied with studying the rainbow elements over the nether regions. Hopefully tomorrow will see an improvement.

I couldn't believe you did that - I reckon that was a sign of how tough things are for you at the moment my lovely, I think aqeuous cream might be a better bet - cheap as chips and very soothing for sore skin. Don't buy it from Boots tho - their cream is pricey, Tescos or Superdrug are better value. You get it from the pharmacy bit, huge tub for about £3.50 and you can use it as a soap as well as a moisturiser.

Tell you what, we'll share the award, OK?

I guess it is easy enough to forget things like tablets from time to time, we live our lives dominated by these little things and yes, it does get to be a total bind every now and again. Thank you, everyone, for taking thre trouble to reply and reassure me that I am not a complete idiot - yup, you guessed it, some parts are missing! DD

I take so many tablets I have to make them up on a weekly basis to make sure I don't forget any - even so on occasion I've run out of one or other of them cos I didn't get the prescription request in on time or didn't go and pick it up.

Then I've also forgotten tablets for a week or so - one time I only realised I'd forgotten my hayfever tablets a week later, when I realised I didn't feel too well...

We all do it, don't beat yourself up over it! I would suggest also making up a week's worth at a time - you can either get the weekly strip holders from the pharmacy or if you go to a craft shop you can get bead towers of different sizes.

I know the packaging on the meds says to keep in the container / packaging but if I didn't organise them like this I would be ages fiddling in the morning and evening with what I needed, and no doubt forgetting more often!

I have at least three different kinds of pill holders/reminders, but I tend to stick to my tried and trusty tin method: all in the tin, in their packets, then as I take each separate med the packet is replaced in the lid of said tin, then I can see what I have and have not done. It works quite well as a method, until I forget to replenish said tin! DD

It is a sign of the times that Mr SW & I now have a 'pill drawer' in the kitchen. My half of it is (uncharacteristically) scrupulously neat and tidy but he tends to fling his around with gay abandon. I guess it means I'm unlikely ever to have problems with my prostrate.

Firstly, who the hell is Abandon and why is he living with you? Is there summat about Mr SW that we (and you) don't know? Secondly, I trust you did the prostrate thing on purpose (come to think of it, knowing you, you did. It's always good to do things proply.) DD (who is off to take some meds.)

Oh, skezier, for me the FA is easy as Friday is FA day. DD

I’m afraid the ‘prostrate’ was a trypo and not done on porpoise. However, I’m now in a prickle as I can’t connect it without making your next post seam uningellitibble.

As for Gay Abandon. OK, we’ve been rumbled. There have always been 3 people in our marriage and Gay Abandon was a lot of fun while he (she?) lasted. Didn’t age well though.
