Hi all,
We're on our hols on the Isle of Wight and today has been so hot  I always make sure my children are fully 'creamed up' hat etc when going out, but my 17yr old went fishing today with his cousin and had an impromptu swim, after getting out he forgot to re apply the suncream and oddly enough it's the top of his feet that are really burnt :???: I've applied after sun (lots of it) and he's currently got his feet in a large tub of coldish water. Anyone got any advice on what to put on it other than what I'm doing? Thanks Xxx

Aloe Vera if you can get it, also natural yoghurt know it sounds silly but works. Loads and loads of moisturiser. X

Hi Julie, Val, Janie and Anky,
His feet are a little sore but not nearly as bad as yesterday, he had a rough night though :???: I ended up dosing him up on ibuprofen and paracetamol intermittently and kept the aloe Vera bottle in an ice box beside his bed
last time he'll forget to re apply!
Thanks for your advice and help everyone. X

    Hi Poppyg1rl,
Best way to treat sun burn is:
Do drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration,
Taking cool bath is also effective in sunburn,
Apply calamine lotion if you have itching and use plenty of moisturizer to help rehydrate skin.
