Well-being assessment

I've just found this well-being self-assessment on the NHS Choices site which is quite interesting to do. Here's the link:
http://www.nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/Wellbeing-self-assessment.aspx
At the end of the assessment, it provides some links and ideas for ways to improve your well-being, so I thought it was useful.

This is an interesting one , Joan , my mental well being score is 46 which is average and quite good . I was advised to get out more and be more active which is not too easy in a wheelchair ! Fun to do the test though . Jillyb0

Hi Joan,
I got fairly high..... it can't be right cus I ain't well, my life's falling apart and I dread the future....
Why it scored me high is I do think of others, I am fairly cheerful and I do look to the future a lot but they didn't say with dreadCris xx

Thank you for that joan. I took the test and got 70
was surprised by result.
But then I am happy most of the time and try to keep a positive attitude.

Hi everyone
I'm glad that you took the assessment and found it interesting. I think that the questions do make you think about your general well-being. I also thought that the Five Steps for Mental Wellbeing were sound advice ie.
1. Connect with people around you.
2. Be active.
3. Keep learning.
4. Give to others.
5. Be more aware of the present moment.
I think that I do the first four, but I have to train myself not to worry too much about things which don't really matter and concentrate more on the present.0 -
