"Inflammation" in face - any ideas?

Afternoon peeps
Just wondered if anyone could give me any advice please.
Last night I suddenly became aware of a strange sensation around both my temples and down the sides of my face. The only way to describe it is by saying that, when I touch it, it feels as if the skin has been burned. Now I have had this before in arms, legs, fingers when RA inflammation has been bad and I just assumed it was inflammation of the skin, or the nerves under the skin. But never had it in my face before. I took an anti-inflamm to see if that helped any and it did help a bit but it's still there today. There is nothing to see - the skin isn't red and there is no swelling but it is very strange. Anyone had anything similar or got any thoughts on this?
Thanks,
Tilly xxx

Hi Tilly,
It could be a number of things Tilly, I really think you should see your GP, can you phone your Rheumy nurse too? Please get it checked out, any pain around the temples makes me nervous.
Love and hugs Tilly, please let us know how you get on.

Hi Tilly,
I agree with Poppy and think you do need to get it checked out. It is probably something really simple and nothings to worry about but it needs checking really.
The deer is with you to make sure you keep taking the anti-inflammatories...... he has taken off his gloves love and a ((((( ))))) Cris xx0 -
Hi Tilly, I have to agree it does need checking out. It could be something simple such as migraine etc. However, it is a symptom not to be ignored.
Let me know what the gp says. x0 -
 . I have no idea what this could be - if you don't want to trouble the GP how about asking your pharmacist? DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Thanks all for your replies and words of wisdom as always.
After my last GP appointment I can't face the GP again but I have just had a conversation with one of the rheumatology nurses who says it's probably down to the Rituximab and, unless it's causing me real problems (which, apart from being a bit uncomfortable it isn't) not to worry about it. She also said if it gets to the point where I can't cope with it, to give them a ring. So at least I now have someone to talk to about it if need be.
Thanks again.

Hi Tilly
sorry I wasn't around earlier to answer your post. (not that I would have said anything different )
I am pleased to read though that you have spoke to your nurse and was re-assured that it is nothing to worry about, and that you can ring them anytime if need be.
Hope the sensation has gone tomorrow.
Have a lovely week-end
