Well I’ve just turned 50 and I must say I’m loosing it!, Ozzy has dug up a mouse nest so now today my job is to hand feed two lickle baby mice that Mandy managed to save before Ozzy could eat them!.
There mobile have fur and eyes still closed but they are soooooo cute, they are doing well and eating kitten milk like it’s gone out of fashion, the thing is a few years back I’d have left them outside and let nature take it’s course but now I can’t bring meslf to do it how soft hearted am I getting?!.
Oh and I’ve already named them, one is called Len and the other Kev!, Len is into al sorts of mischief and trouble (just like his name sake on here!) but kev is slightly fat slow and eats to much and is always sleeping!.

Ha ha, I think it would be fair to say you ARE getting soft but what a great thing to do! I would like to think I would do the same, we did it with a couple of baby birds recently when our stupid dog literally scared the mother to death.

By the way, are we to assume that Ozzy is a cat? x

Ha!, great minds hye Len and Del, I imagine by the end of the month I'll have enough for a mouse burger!, seriously their really lovely little buggers, they are feeding well one has a duff leg from Ozzy's attack but it's not in pain and moves about OK,eye's not just open but will b soon, I'll see what happens with the Kev if his leg is U/S we might keep him but len will be good to go once big enough.
Oh can you use garlic on mouse burgers???.

What are you going to do with them once they are full-grown, Mell :?: ( assuming that they don't end up on the BBQ ) Are you quite sure that they are both males :?: If they are one of each sex, you could end up with dozens in no time, but I expect that you will release them into the wild once they are big enough. Just make sure there are no cats around when you do

    Oh Mellman

That's lovely, do you intend to keep them. After looking after them would you be able to give them up. I love all animals and wouldn't think twice about saving them.

I think it's the kids that soften us up.

Not sure if the froggy buggers Len galic is good though!,now don't ?, not sure what we will do with them once big enough, I’d like to think I can let them go but one (Kev) has a slightly iffy leg but seems OK eats like mad!, both are feeding really well and look and act fine and hearty I’ve just been up and fed and cleaned them and then put them in my hands and they feel asleep!.
Oh Barbara yes Hannah was reading on the web that they go through a to a popcorn phase it’s just around the time when their eyes open and they jump around up to two feet high!.
