Hi all sorry to rant on but if you can imagine low im lower than that!
It all started about 5 to 6 weeks ago when although my origional symptoms remained I was hit full on with a range of totally new ones.
It all started with really bad headaches then the pain of my Arthritis seemed to just take over the whole of my body. I felt constantly tired would sleep 9-10 hours a night and still need a kip during the day. The dizziness came next with a loss of apitite and some days constant vomiting. My temperature would range from 37.9 up to high 39 my blood pressure is low, and I was either costantly experiencing cold sweats, jerky movements of my body from shivering although I was warm, sweating with a high temperature or experiencing a constant chill. After a week of the above I made an emergency appointment to see my consultant cos I have never felt so bad. I explained my symptoms to him and advised I was taking Paracetamol every 4 hours to try to regulate my body temperature. He didnt comment just totally blanked over the issue and didnt give me any information to help to prevent the symptoms I was experiencing. Due to my blood Markers being constantly high he advised that although he had taken he off all my meds he wanted me to have a steriod flush and advised and I quote "it probably wont work but its worth a try" needless to say 4weeks on I havent even had an appointment for the above and when I try to contact the hospital I get an automated message stating due to staff shortages no one is unable to take your call.
A few days after seeing the consultant (who took a chest xray) I started to have trouble breathing and experiencing really bad pains in my lower and upper back. I went to see my local GP who advised that I had an infection somewhere and gave me some Anti biotics to help clear it up. I told him then that the consultant had taken a chest xray and surly something would of shown up my comment was dismissed. I told the doctor all the above symptoms regrding the fever and told him I was struggling with the intensity of it all his response "speak to your consultant when you see him next" which bearing in mind at this point was 4 weeks away.
Since then My fevers have gotten worse and there seems to be no let up too it. The jerkyness is making my arthritis worse and I am constantly feeling like I just cant take another 24 hours of this.
As some of you maybe awear I have a partner and a 3 year old boy and this just isnt fair on them Im not even managing to get my son dressed on a morning which is making me feel like the worlds worst mam. I just havent got the energy to leave the house or even walk to the car to go and sit in someone elses house! I cant do anything with my son and seeing as its the 6 weeks holidays he is constantly in my care (although I a relying on my mam) and its just not fair on him to have to put up with a useless mam! I have Some nights and I know its probably making things worse but all I can do is cry this just isnt fair on my son or my partner and although it sounds melo dramatic (sorry for spelling) i feel like im a 29 year old sitting at home just waiting to die!!
Can anyone give me any advise as to what I can do. I am back to see the consultant on Tuesday but honestly dont think I can take anther 24 hours of this

If you think you are too small to be effective, you have never been in the dark with a mosquito.

Hi Storm,
Oh flower I so wish things were better for you just now.
I get all of that and mine is a combination of the pa and oa in the ribs and sternum and the back, hips and neck. Like you I often get a temperature and shiver though burning up... I honestly think that they just dismiss it as a flare up of the bones.....
I am now old and haggard but I remember being your age and flower i know hoe hard and how unfair it feels.....
I can't suggest anything other than keep banging on about it and ask the consultant outright why you are having these fevers.
I think he might say night sweats..... I have had them off and on for a long time cus the crohn's will o that to me as well.... They are horrible and the first time I had one I thought I was dying....
Your too young to have all this flower but you need some answers and unfortunate all you can do is keep on but ask the direct question as why you are having these fevers and don't stop till he gives an opinion....
He doesn't sound like he is listening much so tell him totally how your feeling and with luck he will get off his ivory tower and help you.
in the mean time just remember you are not alone here.... Its cyber but still meant flower. Leaving you a ((((( ))))) and so many hopes you ill fell better soon. Cris x0 -
Oh No!!!
Poor poor you
Serioulsy.....you are NOT the world's sorst mam at all - if you were you wouldn't give a da*n and woudl likley be on Jeremy Kyle.
If l were you l would go back to the docs and ask your Mam for one more favour - to go with you and let her tell em as it is. Even A&E if you feel so bad???
Stupid question but are you taking anything to keep your temp down? You may well be already with all the other stuff you are taking l mean something like paracetamol/ibuprofen etc. Take care not to overdose of course. Cold compress on your forehead may help get temp down too. What you do for your son when he is poorly.
When l am flaring l too get high temps that is for sure, but yours sound v high.
Love and hugs

Hello Purplestorm
I am so sorry you are so poorly and that no-one is listening to you. I can hear the desperation in your post and my honest advice would be, if you can, to take yourself off to A&E and tell them what you have told us - or maybe print off your posts and take them with you. I think if you go to A&E they will HAVE to listen to you and, hoepfully, they will have access to your recent chest x-ray, blood results etc. They may not have an immediate answer, but they should be able to get you seen more quickly by the relevant people.
Thinking of you.
