I suffer with Gout. Recently I have experienced a prolonged episode. i take allopurinol 100mgs 2 tabs once a day and naproxin as and when required. I supplement with Cod Liver Oil capsules could these be a contradiction.

Thanks for your posting.
The information that we have regarding diet and gout is that oily fish should generally be avoided, because of the high purine content.
It is best to speak to your doctor or a dietician concerning cod liver oil capsules (and whether these may have the same effect as eating oily fish).
