Hi
sorry I haven`t been on for a while, but the forum kept logging me out!! Grrrr!!
Since I was last here, I have still had my ups and downs emotionally but am trying to be positive.
I am still going to Hydro, and find it good exercise. My hips are still a `pain` literally but I am keeping going. (well what else can you do!!)
I am off work now for a couple of weeks hols, but not able to go away as some of you may remember Mr NB got made redundant a couple of months ago and money is a bit short. So any spare sunshine in the UK , please send my way !
I am planning a trip to see the GP whilst off to talk about my pain meds and eventually after putting things off some mood pills. Sleepless nights and tears for this long are too much.
I hope to be here more often so long as I don`t keep getting logged out again.
Hope you are all doing as well as can be xxx
NB

NB, we've finally got a bit of late evening sunshine and I'm wanging it your way. Not much warmth in it but the quality of the light is beautiful and I think we might get a good sunset which you can have too.

Well done on keeping going with the hydro and just on keeping going. That can be hard enough in itself. Well done, too, on your plans for seeing the doc and getting your meds sorted out. When things are rough that can take a lot of guts in itself.

Hope the forum will allow you to stick with us a bit more regularly now.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Hi Nearlybionic,

sorry to hear your hips are still giving you pain. The hydro sounds good though. Hope you get some joy from the GP. How is your range of movement? What does the consultant say about the pain?

Hope you get some sunshine and enjoy your fortnight off, try and to some different things whilst you are off to make it feel more like a break.

    Speedy

PS Sorry to hear about Mr NB. Hope he finds a new job soon.
I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

    Morning NB,
Lovely sunshine here at long last, so sending some your way and to all the others, hope I have some left for me though. Just bite the bullet and get those happy pills, I've been on them most of the time since I was diagnosed (6 years), I've tried coming off them at various times but it's too much to deal with this bloody illness and family and other problems that come up from time to time, it's better to take them to support ourselves as do our other drugs, if we don't take our meds our illness flares up, so if we don't take these our coping responses collapse and then we're no good to anyone and it's just one more thing for our families/friends to have to see us go through and not be able to help, sometimes it's as bad for them watching us and feeling helpless as it is for us to go through it.Sorry, I'm waffling on now, but I get annoyed when people say/assume you're weak for going down that road, if they're strong enough not to need support, then good for them, but we're only human and we all deal with things differently, I just hate their smugness.
I hope you get the support you need and get sorted and that things will improve for you soon, sending good vibes and (((()))) your way,

    Sue x
