Hi all,
Just to let you all know my grandaughter has been born at 6.30am this morning (Ihad to get up at 1am after 2 hours sleep to go with them), she weighed 7lb 4ozs and her name is Angel Dani-anne (the Dani part is after her uncle who died recently). I'm suffering for it though, I'm very tired, it was like a sauna in there and when you have hot sweats from the meds that's not good, forgot hand held fan, but did have painkillers, my ankles are blown up like 2 footballs, I have bruises up my arms from where she was squeezing me (partner came over a bit faint and queasy), lack of food and sleep. But she did have a bad time of it, poor love. I'm going to bed now and having a long lie in tomorrow and :P to the housework. Hopefully I'll feel better then and I can now get my life back on track and maybe start to feel better.

Sue x

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

What do you mean he came over a bit queasy and faint? Honestly. Typical bloke. And they say we are the weaker sex - oh really? Well done to her and especial congratulations to you, this will be a rare time that the payback is a price worth paying. As for your name, I guess nanasue will do! DD

Thanks to everyone for your congratulations. It does take a lot out of you emotionally and physically, especially when you have existing illnesses and having to be up all night just adds to it. I've had a good sleep and feel better this morning, but I'll still take it easy today.

Hileena, as usual I'll be Nanny or Nana, this is grandchild number 10 for me, but still just as exciting as the first one. I've been at the births of 6 of them, it's amazing seeing them born and you just seem to have that slightly closer bond.

DD, you know what men are like, that's why she wanted me there.

I don't know about you all, but here today the weather is lovely, proper summer sunny weather with blue sky and not humid and grey, that adds to the feeling of well being.

I would just like to say thank you to all my "friends" on here, for all your support through good times and bad, life would be a lot harder without you all. Sue x

    Congratulations NanaSue!

Ten grandchildren wow! I don't fancy your Christmas present list!

Take it easy now that it's all over, but how lovely to have another grandchild to hold and cuddle. x
